What are the parks like during Easter???What is the weather like during April???

Easter is one of the busiest times at the parks. It can be a bit more or less busy depending upon when it falls. The weather in early to mid April is usually wonderful. Highs in the 80's most days. we usually go the third week in april since that is when our kids schools have their spring break. the weather is alwasy great. the crowds can vary, depending upon whether this is also the easter break. if it is, then it is VERY crowded. One good thing is that the parks are open later than during many other times of the year.

It is INCREDIBLY crowded at Easter--as crowded as it gets during the year. You will see less than half per day than you would see if you went at a slower time, and you could easily spend 8 hours a day just standing in line. Is there any other time you could go?

Three words: Tour Guide Mike. Follow his advice exactly and you'll be fine. Deviate and you'll wish you were anywhere else. We spent one afternoon at the Magic Kingdom the week before Easter that made me understand why it is worth any amount of effort to do what all professional Disney tour guides recommend - be at the parks when they open and then leave when the mob gets there. If you don't mind being a bit draconian about pushing your family around to adhere to a schedule, Easter works.

Another time i could go would be first two weeks of July is this month any better than Easter week???Weather and crowds???Is Easter more crowd than Christmas???Thanks

Our DD's high school band is playing in the MK parade on Easter Sunday. We are bracing our selves for a huge crowd. My wife and I are planning our day in MK that day as more of a stop and smell the roses day. We plan to take our time and not worry so much about hitting every attraction.

I loved my College Program up until Easter.

Why?

By 10am the queue to Splash was fully extended.

It's crowded. And I'm talking SUPER crowded. I went on vacation to WDW over Christmas and this is really the only thing I can compare it to.

IMHO take the kids out of school the week before. Still warm, no spring breaks!

This past April it was also unseasonably warm. I found it to be as hot as June/July. We were there in late March, early April of 2005 and weather was fantastic. But April 2006 we found to be uncomfortably warm (still better to be at WDW than at work, however!).

The parks will be a little less crowded in July. Still a tough time to visit. Much hotter, much more rain in July. Easter is like xmas week, early July a little better.

I would pick July hands down over Easter--but that's because I enjoy the weather...

We went this past Easter, starting Easter Sunday and the week after. The weather was extremely hot, but we had very little rain. We didn't do TGM, but I did buy a Passporter and read these boards religiously for almost a year before our departure. We needed a rest every day, so we went for EMH, used fastpasses, and left that park approx 11am, when the crowds started to get very heavy. We would head back for lunch, a nap, maybe a little swim, and then we would hop to a different park that evening until it closed. It really worked out for us. we didn't wait over 10-15 mins for any ride, and we rode everything we wanted. We did miss a few shows, but the rides were important to my children. If I had planned, I'm sure we could have hit all of the shows also.
Plan, plan, plan, and when you get there, if your plans don't turn out perfect, be flexible! Hope you have a great time!
