Crowds around Halloween party days?

We plan to go to US and IOA in October, each one day. We will arrive when the parks open (we are staying very close) but will not do late nights or the HHN.

Can someone clarify,the Halloween Horror night events are just at US correct and not also IOA?

I wonder, how would the party affect the crowds? We originally planned US on Wednesday 10/8 which is not a party night and IOA on Saturday 10/11. Would it matter crowd wise which we do? Is US more or less crowded on a HHN during the day time?
Overall, crowd wise, what can I expect at US/IOA at this time of year? We went last in Nov 04 so quite long ago. I appreciate any experiences.

in october, the parks close usually at 6/7:00.
on hhn nights, studios will close at 5 and ioa at 7.

since you plan to hit the dark side during a holiday weekend, you might run into larger crowds at ioa.

you will find crowds growing in the early afternoon at the Studios.
many will go to the park for the rides/shows maybe around 2:00 and then wait for HHN at 5:00.

i have been going to the darkside same time period you are for years.

each year attendance for hhn grows during the columbus day weekend


HHN will be at the Studios, not IOA.
