Crowds after Sept. Wishes/Illuminations?

Just curious if it still takes hours to get back to the resort after fireworks in September (going week of Labor Day) . This will be the first time we're trying the fireworks. Always before dd was scared or it was too late for her. We'd like to try at least one of them this trip since she was thrilled with the 4th of July this year. But if there is a good chance we wouldn't get back to CBR until the wee hours then we'll have to wait until the next trip maybe.

I've heard the horror stories of trying to get a bus to get back to the resorts after these and wanted to know if it's always like that or just during the peak times. Any experiences appreciated. Thanks.

We waited nearly 2 hours in September 2004 for a bus back to POP, don't know if things have changed since then! Hope so because we have Wishes and Spectrogmagic on our itinerary for this coming September!!

It's worth the wait though to see the show. It certainly hasn't put us off. Some resorts are better than others though - where are you staying?

Last year I think I waited about 30mins. I did notice that the lines were much longer for some of the value resorts. I stayed at Port Orleans.
