Crowds after Memorial Day

We are starting to plan our 2007 WDW family trip, and we are looking at the week immediately after Memorial Day. We would probably arrive on the afternoon of Memorial Day (Monday), check in and get settled, and start hitting the parks on Tuesday. I know that Memorial Day weekend is one of the most crowded times at WDW, but how about the rest of the week? Do the crowds stay high after the holiday, or do they go back down to typical late-May crowds right away?

Has anyone been in the parks immediately following Memorial Day? What was your experience with crowds?

Hi,

Memorial Day starts the summer rush which grows through the month of June and peaks on July 4 weekend.

Early June crowds will be much higher than mid or late May. Many schools are out and the weekend after Memorial Day brings Gay Day and Star Wars Weekend crowds as well.

Crowds will be on the rise, but not yet unbearable...

Thanks, Bob. We've been in early and mid June several times, and we can handle those kinds of crowds. It's the mad crush of the holiday weekend that we want to avoid. Sounds like if we arrive on the Tuesday after Memorial Day, we'll be okay. Plus, DH and DS's would love to attend a Star Wars weekend (we've always just missed them) and I'd like to catch the end of the Flower and Garden show.
