I was wondering what the lines are line in the summer after the 10:30 showing of Fantasmic. Would it be pretty easy to do Splash, Indy and BTMRR after the late Fantasmic showing...or will there still be lines?

In the summer here is my experience:

Splash - will still have lines up to 30 minutes until midnight

Indy - may surge when Fantasmic ends but pretty much lines will be under 15 minutes

Space Mtn - will still have lines up to 45-60 minutes until midnight

how bout fantasy land after 10:30 ? will that be busy as well? I would hope mom and dad put baby and kids to bed soon ( crying children who are tired are no fun ) we plan to go back to the motel at 2:00 and take a nap, then eat in the park for dinner and be refreshed for evening time.

I just got back a few days ago. On Friday we were planning on eating at DTD, so we grabbed FP for Indy before we left the park..the FP were for 945pm. When we got there, the stand-by was INSANE! We ended up waiting about 25 mins to board (not too bad) but just got so fed up with the crowds that we left...

So i'm assuming after 1030 during the summer, there will still be quite a few crowds...

Hmm, I was thinking about Fantasyland too! Wouldn't you think it wouldn't be as busy as the headliners??

Oddly enough FL is still very busy most of the night, we notice smaller crowds after 11 but not usually before that. Most rides will still have long waits, Indy is usually around 30-60 min, even after 10:30.

We were at DLR over MLK and Memorial weekends. This is what I found from 10:30 to midnight.

Space Mountain 45 mins
Buzz Lightyear 15 mins
Star Tours 10 mins
Nemo 30 mins
Matterhorn 25 mins
Big Thunder 10 mins (walk on after 11:30pm)
Splash 15 mins (walk on after 11:30pm)
Haunted Mansion 5 mins
Pirates 10 mins
Indy 30 Mins
Jungle 5 mins

Indy and Space will always have lines 45+ into the night, especially FrSaSu.

Spalsh Mountain and Thunder are typically walk-ons or 10 minutes max. For the former, nobody wants to get wet at night when its 60 degrees out; while Big Thunder is such a ridiculously efficient loading ride, lines are always fast moving.

Fantasyland, oddly enough, will have lines.

Haunted Mansion and PoTC are awesome at night. On PoTC it will get so empty that most CM's will honor a request for a "private" boat. On HM, sometimes its less than 10 people in the stretching room. Jungle Cruise, Star Tours, Buzz, Mr. Toad, and the Matterhorn also see short lines at night.

Your best bet is to stockpile your fastpasses. On our Diva trip this year a group of us (8 or 9 I think) were able to ride: Buzz, Space, Indiana, Big Thunder, and Pirates within about an hour and half. This was on a Sunday night and we started around 10pm. HTH

Really? This past summer I found that Splash was nearly a walk on (because it's in a secluded corner of the park) and Indy had a very long line at the end of the day. :confused3

But no matter what, Space and Peter Pan will have long lines until closing. Matterhorn, Nemo, and Big Thunder will still have decent sized lines (but not horribly long), but most of the other rides in the park should have short lines.

Thunder's line is rarely longer than 15 minutes after sunset, and Nemo has calmed down a lot lately, though not sure if that will continue to summer.

The thing with Thunder is that the ride is incredibly efficient in loading guests. Even on a busy day its rarely longer than 35 minutes.

Wow thanks for all the replies!

I will prob need to stock up of FP's then.:thumbsup2

Actually (and this may be because I haven't been during summer hours in a long time), I've experienced FL to be pretty much walk-on with the exception of Peter Pan. Teacups, Dumbo, Pinnochio, etc. have little to no wait.

My last trip was in December around X-mas and I didnt see huge lines after fantasmic. We were able to ride POTC and Haunted Mansion within 5 minutes each. Buzz had maybe a 10 minute wait and FL had some rides without big lines either. Peter Pan is always the longest, but Dumbo was short!
Have fun!

Obviously it is very variable which is why I qualified it with "my experience". :) I always have FP sets on hand for Space/Indy/Splash in the evenings. In the summer obviously Splash is more popular all day and into the evenings because of the warmer weather. When we head over to Indy late at night it seems we rarely need the FPs because there is no line outside. At Splash it seems we always need the FPs because the lines are so long. Space Mtn everyone seems to agree is pretty long late at night.

I also find that after 11PM Matterhorn is usually down to a 10 minute line max.

Bottom line for me is I always try to have FPs on hand so the line length does not matter. To the OP I would not count on any of the lines being short even though sometimes they are. :goodvibes

Also remember that Splash has a Single Rider line which is always convenient for an unplanned ride when you are out of FPs.

We will sometimes do what we call the "Fantasyland Power Hour" from 11pm to midnight. My experience is that all FL rides are typically 10 mins or less wait during that time, except for Peter Pan which will be about a 15 min wait just before closing.

We regularly do FL after 11, we usually hit it around 11:30 or so and we are able to walk onto most of the rides, the exceptions being teacups, Alice & Peter Pan. I have NEVER seen a 15 min. wait for PP, it's regularly 30+ min when we go, and we go both on and off peak seasons.

Ridemax has Peter Pan as a 15-min wait from 11:35pm to midnight on summer nights. That must be fairly common for them to have that data in their program. The last 2 times we rode Peter Pan that late was a 20-min wait at 11:20pm and 12-min wait at 11:50pm.

well I don't know where ridemax gets it's info but like I have said more than once in this thread, we do FL regularly at night, PP is not a 15 min. wait. We do it last a lot because we like to see the "regular" that has to be the last rider on PP, we like to see if she's still coming that late at night and riding. It's kind of a challenge to our family, so even if we aren't riding PP last we still like to walk by and see if she's there. :) Believe me, if the sign said 20 min or less we'd wait for sure.
