Crowds 9/30 & 10/1?

Planning a surprise trip for DS14 for 9/29- 10/2. We just purchased the APs and may do the HHN. We have only ever stayed on site and love the FOTL access. I would love to save a few bucks and stay off site but will choose to stay on site if it will be crowded on this weekend. I have never beed to US other than summers and spring breaks. Anyone have experience with crowds this time of year? TIA!

I am hoping for light crowds! We are going to HHN on the 30th and then plan to be in the parks on the 1st and 2nd. We are staying off site because we got too good of a deal to pass up for the week.

Just in case, I plan on getting the express passes for HHN because DH has been dying to go to this for a long time and I don't want him to miss anything because this may be our only chance for a couple of years!

I was there in early Nov. once and the crowds were moderate, wouldn't say light, but not heavy, I am guessing it will be the same, unless you are lucky and hit a truely light time. Not sure if there is very much time that is real light, I think that is mainly in Jan-Feb., but there are some others on here that may no quite a bit more than me on this.
