Crowded Labor Day Weekend??

My hubby is taking me to WDW for my b-day. We will be traveling 1 Sept thru 5 Sept staying at Pop to keep the cost down. We will be getting free dining as well. YAY!!!

Just wondering what the crowds are normally like during that weekend. I have a feeling it will be crowded.

We were there last year at that time. We came in the Tues. before Labor Day weekend and it was pretty much empty. Our 2nd day we walked onto everything in Fantasyland! But by the weekend-the place got much more crowded. We actually had to wait for some rides! Eeek! We also kept mostly to MK and the kids stuff b/c we had our 18 month DD with us so I can't really say anything about the coasters b/c we skipped them on that trip. It was VERY hot! Takes lots of breaks and drink lots of fluids!

Yes, it will be crowded the whole time you are there...that is the holiday weekend. Holidays are always busy at the parks.

We're going that weekend and staying at POP as well! My theory is that it won't be any worse then the middle of summer. All the southern schools will be back by then and I think most of the northern schools start right after so I don't figure there will be any huge amount of vacationers. I also think the fact that the free dining is going on even Labor Day weekend kind of supports that theory.

Anyway - it makes me feel good so I'll go with it!!

I haven't been personally but I keep hearing that it's dead during Labor Day Weekend. According to the Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World's Best Day Calendar it should be dead during the holiday.

we're checking in the Sun of Labor wkend. What park would you do on Mon? We'll have hoppers so we can always leave if it's just to crowded, but I can't decide where to start!

When in doubt - start at Epcot - is the UG's mantra! Apparently Monday's are pretty bad any time of year - people starting their vacation I guess.
