Crowd Was Huge Today

Thanks for posting all the crowd updates everyone....I will be very curious to see what the crowd level is like going through this week. I will be their with my wife Friday afternoon for 8 days. I also am jealous of people living in Florida, I've attached a picture to show you what the highway was like here yesterday...by the way the temperature here this morning was (-34C or -29 F)

Is that a car in the middle?
And yes we are a hardy bunch but I can't handle the cold like I use to;) this getting old sucks! We get that cold once in a blue moon in T.O. but the wind chill can be killer.

Friends of ours are taking their girls down Weds. for 10 days because we love it so much, I hope they have a good time.

Have a great trip Brian.

ONE MORE DAY!!!!! :cool1: :thumbsup2

I forgot all about MLK. That will be a crazy weekend! Other than that it should be fairly slow tho'. For the weekend, get out to the parks early. If you're there at rope drop, you can get the popular stuff done before the major crowds descend. Even in the peak season, I can get in a couple of rides on Soarin' that way...I do a standby right at rope drop, then grab a FP and ride singles at TT till it's time for the FP. Early is the way to go in the busy times.

My favorite thing about living so close is never having to truly "leave." The traffic can be a real pain in the butt at peak times, but I still wouldn't trade living here for anything. When we eat at a WDW hotel restaurant, I always see families waiting for DME to go back to the airport and remember that awful depression from our own tourist days. Now I never have to have that feeling again. :goodvibes

I'd like to be adopted, please. :rotfl: I am a Chicago girl myself...and I constantly tell dh that when the kids are grown and out of the house...down to Florida we shall go! I have many years before that happens, though.

We are slated to go down for an anniversary trip Feb. 11th to the 16th. By all signs, I'm thinking that it shouldn't be too bad....nothing like what we saw in June. :scared1: June was nuts....we've been in May and it was crowded, but nothing like June. The only other time I've been there is Thanksgiving week...many many years ago. I'm guessing that we have done well by missing any school holidays? I know that my kids are off on the 16th, but we won't be at the parks that day, since our flight home is early afternoon. :sad2:

It's going to build as the weekend gets closer. We've going to go to the parks this weekend, just to get photos rather than doing any riding (we have a Photopass we need to fill), so I will post an update.

Pixiefairy, Feb. shouldn't be too bad. It's usually moderate. Early June can be great, but the later it gets in the month the worse it gets at the parks. Sometimes I visit in the peak season just to reminder myself why I should be so thankful for Sept. and that brief period before and after Thanksgiving. Even if it's crowded, FL in Feb. when you're from Chicago is always a treat by itself. Good ride time is just a bonus.

We're leaving Wed to head down. I plan to do MK and Epcot on Thurs and Fri, becasue we agree, the weekend should be busier. But we know what to avoid and plan to take it easy. It's better than snowy Philly and work!
