At universal studios today and haven't waited more than 15 min for anything except for rockit which was maybe 30. Everyone must be at minion mayhem (posted at 100 min wait). Rest of the park very reasonable.

As hot as it was yesterday and supposed to be today, I can't imagine walking around a theme park. But hey...have at it! :thumbsup2

I know Metro, that is one of the unpleasant aspects of an August vacation, but my husband is a professor, and has to teach summer school, so it's either now or never! This year anyway. Sometimes we can do January too. I've been known to buy a bottle of water and dump it on my head.:rotfl2:

We'll be there next week - now you're making me second guess my on site stay - we may not need those express passes after all!

yeah I know the heat is going to be beyond brutal when we go , but our only option for a trip this year was end of August. Can't pull DD out of school anymore and DH and I can not take vacation at all during Thanksgiving or Christmas weeks anymore ( we both work in healthcare). We plan on touring the parks from early entry till about 12p and then back to the resort for a few hours of swimming

Thats our plan as well. Plus sometimes I carry a small umbrella(if crowds allow)
like a parasol to keep the sun off my pasty north eastern skin. So if you see a grown woman with a Spider-Man umbrella, say hello!

Never second guess staying on site! :)

The ease and quickness of going between the on site hotel, Citywalk, and the theme parks will make it worth it.

Staying offsite in the heat vs. staying onsite in the heat....no contest.

THANKS!

Of course, now we have a potential tropical storm headed my way late this week - could make for an interesting trip to FL. I'm hoping all will be well. And I sure hate to leave my husband and son home if a storm heads this way, BUT I can't say I'll be sorry to miss it.
