Crowd reports for Fantasmic lately?

We're going the week of 9/16-23 and I'm hoping the lighter crowds will mean I won't have to bust my butt trying to secure a Fantasmic! Dinner Package to get priority seating because it won't really be necessary...

Has anyone been in the past couple of weeks, or heard how the crowds for the show are? Will we really have to line up 1.5 hours before the show for good seats?

Thanks!!

I'd like to know about this too. Last year, I got there too early. Since the seats do not have backs, I was miserable. So if anyone has just gotten back, pleas let me know the latest I can get there. Thanks!

One more person here who would like to know.
Leaving this Sunday to Orlando and planning on going to MGM on the 12th.

I won't be there for 3 weeks but I can tell you that last year during the last week of Sept we arrived at Fantasmic about 60 minutes before show time and DH and I both felt we could have arrived 30 minutes later. Although we don't feel you hve to sit right in the middle to see well. Have fun!

It is great to read this. We will be there the last week of September as well. I tried to book a Fantasmic package back in late April or early May and they were already booked. So I have a regular ADR for 5:30. I am hoping to be out of the restaurant by 7. Then we will head straight for Fantasmic. That will put us arriving a little less than an hour before show time. I hope that we will not have a problem getting a seat. I, too, would love to hear about the crowds at the show recently.

Yes...I hope someone can let us know soon. I tried to get a package also and couldn't so I have a 4:05 ADR at Sci-Fi. Hoping to be done by 6 with a little time to do something and then get in line. We will have dgd 5 with us and I was hoping not to have to wait in a huge line. We have never taken her for a full week before soooo...it will be a learning process for everyone! My mom and dad were able to snag an ADR and H&V that day so they will already be there.

Reports of what its been like "lately" hold no meaning with what it will be like even "tonight".

The crowds vary day-by-day, show-by-show.

Think of it like the weather.

If it rained last night or the last two nights, what will it do tonight?

If it rained last YEAR or the last two YEARS on this date, what will it do tonight?

TLHB70-we are doing same as you --couldnt get package but got ADR at 5:20 at MM and CM told us based on time of year that should work out perfectly---

Same here. No package, but 5:30 ADR at MM. CM said we should have NO problem getting seats.

Great to read that magnumaid and Laurajeremy! Our ADRs are at Sci Fi and MM too. (We have Sci Fi on 9/24 and MM on 9/29 -- 5:30 each time.) I am hoping that we will not have any problems.

We went the first week of free dinning.
Show was at 9:00 and we got there at 7:30 and had a section right in the middle and about 8 rows up. By 8:15 all the sections were full and they had standing room only. It was amazing watching so many people keep coming in, I'm glad we got there so early.

We went last week, we did have the dinner package and arrived about 20 minutes before the show and got decent seats. The dinner package seats are off to the side but I too do not think you have to be front and center to see. The show was not full, but the center sections were. I'd much rather sit in a side section than sit there for 2 hours....but that's just my opinion.

Went Aug. 25th got there about 7:55 and got great seats about 3/4 way up slightly left of the center section. I don't think I'd cut it closer than a half hour though. We had decided that standing would be fine rather than sit for over an hour but didn't have to.

Can you believe we go to Disney 1-2 times per year and have never made this show!!! Well this trip will be different. I WILL see this show!! How do I find out the times? We are planning to go on Sat. Oct. 21st.

Thanks,

Jodi
