I am trying to help a friend plan her sudden Disney trip next week and trying to figure out which park she should start in each day.
Touring plans has crowd predictions as

Mon Oct 15- 2 out of 10, DL (1.3), DCA (5.8)
Tues Oct 16- 2 out of 10, DL (1.6), DCA (5.1)
Wed Oct 17- 4 out of 10, DL (3.1), DCA (5.6)

First of all... those are great numbers! Wish it was me going!

But I'm curious... Why do you think Wednesday is higher than Monday or Tuesday? Is something going on?

(I know TP predictions are not always right on at Disneyland, but it is the only data out there I can find.)

It is hard to predict the DLR crowds due to the local population. Also, since CL opened, the attendance has been more than anticipated...even during the fall low season.
Is your friend staying on-site? If not, she should start at the park that does not have EMH that morning.
I know some UT schools have a fall break that begins next week.

I would expect higher crowds than those numbers. We will be there starting Oct 14 and the MHP on Oct 15 is sold out and there is very little availability at the onsite and very close hotels.

I would guess the higher Wednesday numbers are due to early arrival of the Utah crowds for the weekend. Many Utah schools have that weekend off so like me they may be pulling their kids out early and heading to DL.

I definitely would not expect the crowds to be anything like the numbers predicted! TP predicted 1s and 2s (which they then changed to 8s and 9s the weekend before!!) for our trip and it was NUTS! Sooo many people! Be sure to advise your friend to arrive early at the parks, since it's the only real manageable time, and for sure utilize the FP system!

Definitely the reason why wednesday is higher!

It will be crowded so your friend should get there early enough, use Fast Pass wisely but most of all, just enjoy the fact that she is at Disneyland.

With that being said, I'll be there that week too so I'll try to use the same advice ;)

Personally I think the chances of any day next week being 2 out of 10 on the crowd meter are slim to none, unless it happens to rain.
