Anyone been over Labor Day and want to share their experience? Or do you know what touring guides are saying?

I'm hoping that the fast that Disney Resorts are still showing availability is a sign that it won't be as busy as I originally feared.

Give me some good news!!

I've heard mixed reviews on this, we too will be there on Labor Day weekend. But at the worse i've heard the crowds were moderate, not crazy... I've been on President's Day Weekend recently and it was HORRIBLE. Many schools have already started back or will be that week so I am hoping that due to that fact it will be quieter.. I am looking foward to what others have to ad to this.

Touring plans is giving the crowd level a 7 out of 10. The part about the resorts still showing availability is a positive sign, however, I can tell you that when we were there two years ago for labor day, it was RIDICULOUS!!!!:scared1:. We vowed never again on Labor Day. Sorry....:sad1:

Oh....Not good news .....We are also going down for Labor Day Weekend!!!

We will be there too! I think that the weekend might be busy, but after Monday, it should be pretty empty, other than the free diners!

According to the UG crowd calendar:

4th - 4
5th - 7
6th - 5
7th - 7
8th - 5

Get there early, use fastpass, and don't worry about it!

See you all there!

Well, the unofficial guide to WDW is still showing the following:
Friday Sept 4 ..4
Sat. Sept 5 ..7
Sun. Sept 6 ..5
Mon. Sept 7 ..7

Let's hope it really is not too crowded. My advice ... rope drop and hit the ground running!!!:rotfl: May the best woman win :lmao:!!!

Well that's not too bad, we can live with it!

Especially the level 4 and 5. Woohoo! Let's hope that's correct. :cool1:

We usually go in March, when it's deadsville, and we went in June this year and it was definitely a whole different ballgame, but still manageable. I think the heat made it worse than the actual crowds.

The 10 day weather report is showing upper 80's and 40-60% chance of scattered T-storms, which is the norm here in Charleston and in Orlando, so we're prepared to deal with it.

I'm just excited that we are getting a weekend trip without the kids! LOL!

Does it matter? Is a crowd level "7" going to keep any of us away or make us cancel our plans? Would we rather stay home and go to work?

I don't think so.

See ya'll in six days. :)

Alright I've been doing even MORE research now LOL

Here is a news article on that.. I also read that Labor day is one of the better times to go... Average wait time for the main attractions can get up to 65 minutes but thats NOTHING compared to the over 2 hours I experienced over presidents day weekend 2 years ago.

Crowd levels do range from 4-7 during this weekend, but if you look at the following weeks the remain between 4-7. Disney is always crowded... but this is definatly not the "unbearable" crowd I've been known to deal with. Sept and January are said to be the best times to visit.

Us too!! We sooo can't wait! It's been since before DS9 was born since DH and I have been on an overnight trip alone! Of course, the kids don't know we're going to Disney...

Not bad on labor day. We went to AKL rode EE 4 times before a line formed and that was after the safari......
The whole week was easily manageable, we didn't miss anything.:thumbsup2

Probably why we will be there this year in less than 24 hours....:lmao:

We were there last year, too, and I agree that it wasn't bad at all. I thought the crowds were rather light. I know when we went to AK ( i believe the day before labor day) my son insisted that we ride EE 4 times in a row becase we could just walk on. The same with Kali River Rapids. We just kept walking on. I think the only time we encountered a line of significant length during our trip was at HS for TSM. I was most concerned about the weather. i thought it was going to be miserable hot. But the weather turned out to be quite nice. A couple of tropical disturbances were hitting another area of Florida, making Orlando quite breezy and overcast at times ... it was very comfortable.

LOL, we aren't telling our boys where we are going either! :rotfl2:

Even though they got to go with me for an extra trip in June that their stepdad missed out on, I'm sure they would be HIGHLY upset if they knew we were going without them!

They'll be spending the Labor Day weekend with their dad, and I'm sure they will be just fine :)

We have been arriving labor day weekend and staying till the Monday after for the last couple years. Labor day weekend is busy, then Monday the place clears out it is great. Now when I say busy nothing like July, so I would say 6 to a 7 was accurate for last year anyway. We will see this year I will be there just avoid Magic Kingdom on sunday if you can

Any idea how the water parks usually are over the weekend? We'll be arriving on Labor Day, and the kids really want to go to Blizzard Beach.

Only 6 days for us too.. :goodvibes

Hoping for low crowds and great weather for all. :wizard:

I went Labor Day weekend two years ago and had such a great time that I purposely chose Labor Day this year to go. Didn't want to go TOO early in the Summer with the expected crowds...and didn't want to wait too long! (October). When I went that last time, we couldn't just walk into any restaurant we wanted to (but can you any time of year?) that's for sure...but I didn't notice any major lines at the attractions (major for WDW anyway) and in fact felt it was on the light side (again, for WDW). I think it's a lucky, terrific time to go...have fun!!

I love to hear good news...keep them coming.......Can't wait till our trip!!!
:cool1::thumbsup2:lovestruc
