We have been the last 7 years in December, this first week last year was the WORST it has ever been. Here is a photo before they put the Christmas Garland that drapes from side to side down mainstreet because they had not yet filmed the ABC parade taping. Check out all the people & this is NOT after a parade or anything on Main Street. We are trying the end of the 2nd week & beginning of the 3rd week of Dec this year, 12/10-12/18. Darn that Travel Channel, they are ruining our crowd levels in December !!

We just walked up right before the parade started and this section was empty.

Our longest wait was for Peter Pan which, no more than 15-20 minutes. We were there at rope drop and walked right on Space Mtn.

This photo makes me feel . I'll be in Disney around that time this year. I thought I was prepared for bigger crowds than September, but if it's like that on my trip, I'll cry! What day was that and was it like that everyday of your trip?

As I mentioned, we go every December the past 7 years the 1st week (sometimes the 2nd week-depends when POP Warner won't be there). We chose 1st week of December last year when POP Warner was NOT going to be there & I was SHOCKED at the crowds last year as well !!
The best day at Magic Kingdom was 12/02/08 on the MVMCP day, that was pretty average like all the prior years, we got right on the rides!! But the rest of the parks during the 1st week of December last year were TERRIBLE compared to the prior 7 years. Now remember, this was also when dollar was starting to go belly up, so I also thought the crowds would be fail to light as usual, I was VERY surprised last year. We are trying the tail end of the 2nd week & the 3rd week this year to see if it is better than last year. Otherwise, I may need to change my name to "DisneyNOctober" & start going during the Halloween time/decorations.

Thought I would share a couple crowd pictures from when we went 11/2/09-11/6/09 for the future. We got on all the rides with about a 5-10 minute wait..The only one that had a bigger wait was Expedition Everest which was bout 30 minutes when my husband and daughter went on it ..:

We went October 20-27th and the crowds were GREAT! It was strange b/c it LOOKED like a lot of people walking around the parks, but we never waited for rides! The whole week we walked on almost everything, I needed FP's for Soarin' and Toy Story but gave away Splash FPs and Buzz Lightyear passes. Great weather and crowds!

All of these were from last year during February 5-9. We rarely went at rope drop and really shuttled around the parks. We avoided red parks per TGM but I think the one day at MK that was the worst in terms of crowds was a yellow.
