Crowd levels

Spent 15-19th at the parks and DL on the 16th was insanely busy just for that day. Spent 15 & 18 at DCA. DCA on the 15th was not very busy. The 18th was great Increda coaster never had more then a 15 min wait we rode it 4 times. A lot of the time it was walk-on. Also went to OBB and enjoyed the parade and treat trails. Villains Grove was kinda lame in my opinion. The heat the whole week was ridiculous for mid Sept.

Relatedly, yesterday was one of the most crowded Friday evenings I've seen. Huge crowds walking down Main Street after park close (normally very sparse by then), and long waits for Toy Story shuttle. They had to bring out extra corrals for the Toy Story shuttle line, re-directing the entrance for the line a bit closer to the security checkpoints.

They’re allowing larger number of MK into the park. Allegedly more than half the ML base is Imagine; as long as they have access to the parks on Fridays, then if you want to be in the parks past the afternoon it should be avoided.

Yesterday TS parking lot wasn’t too bad. We usually walk back and there were way more people walking than there normally are, so seemingly lots of out-of-towners. I saw an unusually large number of people wearing WDW stuff, which supports that. And the number of scooters in the park made it feel like we were in the Magic Kingdom. When we walked past the TS handicap bus at 11:20pm, there was a line of at least two dozen scooters waiting to board (people staying in nearby hotels using the shuttle). Very WDW like indeed.

I,too, noticed many more scooters than usual last week. Along with the return of the GIANT wagons! When did that happen...I didn't see hardly any last June. Those things are a menace.

The wagons are allowed only if you have special needs children, but word is spreading that you merely need to tell security such to get them through. Thus people are taking advantage. I’ve seen numerous videos on TT promoting this “hack.” Meanwhile, they’ve blocked one of the Fantamsic viewing areas off due to the increased space strollers and wagons demand.

Well, that's hilarious because I saw people with wagons loaded with their bags of snacks and other stuff and NO CHILDREN...kinda like a homeless person with a shopping cart. Not against it if it's legit but methinks it has gone the way of DAS. Most of the time if you see a severely disabled child , they are in those special large strollers or a special chair.

Thank you once again, TikTok and all other means of social media by which people learn how to run a scam.

Same, last visit I saw someone hauling one with with shopping bags and tons other stuff (not quite sure what it all was), and their child was walking with them, not in the wagon. It's baffling as to why people are even putting themselves through that...the woman lugging the wagon and trying to navigate through crowds looked miserable.

I was there Saturday night. Arrived a little after 3 and waited for the flag retreat. Then had a bite to eat, so it was about 5 before I started going to rides. From 5-10:30 or so, i rode Star tours (about 30 minute wait - thought it would be shorter as I was able to go right into the building but they were letting 1 party from the standby line to 50-60 people from LL go through so standby was slow), Buzz (about 15 minutes), ROTR (waited about 45 minutes and was 3 from front when it went down so got a MEP for later),rode Smugglers Run via single rider (no wait), watched Paint the Night (waited about 30 minutes for it), Dumbo (about 15 minute wait), and then Rise of the Resistance (with the MEP, was interrogated twice as the room did not open to get on the ride). Looked in some stores and wandered a few times and was on the tram during the second parade. Honestly, crowds did not seem too bad for me. But I skipped things with long waits - Space single rider line looked ridiculous so I just kept going right past it.

I think the topic of wagons should be it's own thread.

Regarding crowd levels.... People complain when they cut off MK sales. People complain about the reservation system. People complain when they open MK sales and reservations and the parks are crowded.
Disney can't win

They get attacked no matter what they do

On Crowds, right now is so great. I got off of Star Wars ROTS yesterday in 35 mins thats waiting and the ride

HMH through did have some more insane lines but mostly the park in the morning is easy to get on most things you want and if you are out of town, I'd still get LL for afternoons if you have limited time but locals just come back another day and rope drop or do rides during the nighttime shows/before closing and you should be good
