Crowd levels during race weekends....

Going to be running the Dark Side half marathon next year. Currently booking hotel. Does anyone know if the parks are more crowded for those weekends? Plan on running the race then going to the parks with my family afterwards.

In short yes, but not horribly so. Keep in mind that is a crowded time of year anyway.

^ This is correct. I can only speak from experience with the Marathon weekend in January but there's definitely a noticeable increase in crowds. I'd expect the same on a slightly smaller scale for the April races.

The parks are not nearly affected as much as the resorts are for Marathon weekend. For the other weekends you will only notice runners because of the medals but if you didnt know they were runners you wouldn't notice anything at all.

Keep travel in mind too. The races can sometimes cause issues with bussing and driving to parks depending on the race routes and times.
