:wave2: Hi

Thinking about going for the week of Jan 7-14 and I have heard DL is much busier than WDW...would this be a busy time? Thanks

I've been the 3rd week of Jan. before and it was dead. :) Crowds drop off drastically after Jan 1st.

Keep in mind though that Jan-Mar are Anaheim's rainy season. So if you're traveling with small children you might want to think about that. I know that the last 3 years that we've gone in those months we've gotten rained on at least one day of our trip.

I think that HM and SW will be closed to take down their holiday layovers. ;)

This year we were there the 11th through the 15th. It was not crowded at all although it was a little crowded on Saturday becuase that technically is a three day weekend. You will probably see it get a little more crowded toward the end of the your trip since that is MLK weekend again but it won't be that bad. It did rain one of the days we were there.

HM was open and SW was down but that isn't normal normally they go down around the same time so I'm sure that is what will happen this January.

We are going to go in January again probably the third week it's our favorite time to go!

I've been going to DL mid- January for about the past 5 years. I've gotten so used to short lines that I do not think that I can ever go during the more busy times ever again. True, SW and HM are always closed but you can ride so many attractions in such a short period of time that you really do not miss them too much. You may miss out on the fireworks however.

We were there last year over MLK weekend, Jan. 13-16. Crowds were reasonable. There were waits but it wasn't too bad. We did get the rain! One of the days we were there, it rained a lot...so we got ponchos and off we went! I wouldn't hesitate to go during this time of year.

I was at DL when it rained with my DS8 and DD5 and we did the same thing...get on the ponchos and off we went. Once we had the ponchos on, I realized we couldn't get any wetter, so we went and rode Splash Mountain, there was a no wait.:cool1: We didn't like the ride picture so we rode again and had a really, really long wait  of all of about 5 people. :rotfl:

We were there the third week of January and it was great, low crowds and good weather, only problem was we both came down with strep throat and were miserable. otherwise, I'd do it again.

January is one of my fave times to go. Short lines , Weve had good luck with the weather. I was really windy. So we didnt get to see the fireworks. :sad1:
