Hi all

We are booked for Disney 27th August - 6th September this year and now I'm getting a bit worried as I've just discovered it's Labor Day on the 7th September! Now I'm concerned about the crowd level, The 7th is a Monday, so will that weekend be manic? - What about the week before? When do US schools usually go back after summer?

Any insight will be most appreciated.

Ive been the last two years in August (4th-21st) and the crowds drop off as the holiday goes on. By the time we leave the American schools are back and its not too busy at all :goodvibes

Most US kids are back in school by mid August, which is why second half of August prices drop from here.

Can't speak for crowd levels for Labour Day, as last there at that time of year 20 yrs ago and can't remember!! I guess similar to our B/H's where things do tend to be busier

The crowd levels for the weekend are higher than normal but the actual Labor Day itself was dead last year at MK. We had a wonderful time. We fully expected it to be manic but it was so quiet. We got chatting to one of the CMs who said that it is one of their slowest days at MK. But the weekend will be pretty busy.

I would avoid MK on the Sunday as it does get very crowded.

Was in Sea World for labor day last year and the park was pretty quiet. Didn't know at the time when we booked so we thought we'd play it safe and book the backstage tour as it would guarantee us front of line access on the rides.

The tour was one of the best days of the holiday (I think it was called the adventure express, the one where you get to touch a penguin and feed the dolphins) very good value for money in my opinion as you got the dine with shamu buffet as part of the price and the guide kept on giving us bottles of water during the shows

we fly on the 27rh as well!! Where are you flying from? airline?

we went last year as we got married on the 2nd sept in disney and we didnt have a problem with the crowds.

There are always sales on labor day in the shops and we really didnt have a problem with the crowds
