Crowd level: Memorial day vs. Columbus day

Hello all!

We are planning our next trip the week of Columbus Day (Oct. 9 - Oct. 17). This will be our first time going in October. Our past 2 trips (May 2012 and May 2013) were both over Memorial Day weekend. The parks were crowded, but we thought they were still manageable. Just wondering how the crowds will be during Columbus day, about the same? How about weather?

Columbus Day will be busier, more and more fall breaks are making October a very busy month, and many fall during that week. The weather is usually nice mid October, high 80's and the daily rain usually begins to slow down.
