Crowd Calendar Lead Time

Generally speaking, how far in advance are crowd calendars released? And do they change much? For example, if I book an ADR in MK because its the most recommended park for a certain Tuesday in September, is there a possibility that MK becomes the least recommended day later on?

I'm planning my first Disney vacation (not our first, but I've never planned one myself), and I'm wondering how people know they want to be in a certain park on a certain day 6 months out.

They are educated guesses.
Different sources make different predictions for the same days.

I wouldn't worry much about them.

Hey Allison1027 - Unless you're going to be there the Tuesday immediately following the September long weekend you should be perfectly fine in MK on a Tuesday. The only thing at that point which may mess with your planning would be extra magic hours or a halloween party depending on when you're going. Historically (and obviously subject to change) the evening extra magic hours for MK are on Sunday's and the morning ones are on Thursdays. September (again, after the long weekend) is low season and just about any park will be just fine on any given day.

Thanks for the info bdtracey! We aren't actually going in September. It will probably be more like late May/early June. (of 2016 or 2017) I just mean that, if I book an ADR for a certain day and time, and on that day the park I picked is not a recommended day, is that the worst thing ever, or not so much? I realize there will be crowds no matter what.

We had a group of 12 last year the week after Memorial Day. It was fun, but no ADR's or real plans of any kind. So, I'm looking forward to our next trip with just the husband and kiddos, and would like to try one or two sit-down dinners.
