We are going on Sun. Jan. 16th to Thurs. Jan. 20th.
Mon. Jan. 17th is MLK. How bad will the crowds be? We are staying until 6:00 p.m. on the 20th. I am hoping Tues., Wed., and Thurs. are not crowded-will they be? What about Sun. and Mon.- will it be mobbed?

Does anyone know if there will be a lot groups there that week?

Will be moderate on Sunday and Monday and light the rest of your stay.I base this on only one trip during that time frame 7 years ago.Hope some one who has been on a more recent trip can give you more up to date information.Have a magical trip :wizard: ::yes:: :wave2:

The enormous Home Builders Show at the Convention Center wraps up at 1:00 on Sunday, 1/16. There may be families who stick around.

Other groups onsite starting anywhere from Thursday 1/13 to Saturday 1/15 are:
College Cheerleading Championships, 3on3 soccer and Basketball (1000 teams), some sort of baseball thing. I also read on another thread that there is a Tae Kwan Do tournament at the Hilton. All Disney resorts are filled to capacity for the MLK weekend.

Crowds will depend largely on who goes where, and when. I HOPE, HOPE, HOPE the groups are busy during the day! But people are saying that the crowds never really went away from the holidays! Now the marathon is there, and next week who knows when all these folks will start piling in for their various activities.

Good luck!!! We are hoping for the best, preparing for the worst!
