They would come closest to each other on the evening of the Saturdays when the Magic is headed out on the Eastern Caribbean itinerary. According to the map we saw, it sails inside the Abacos and doesn't head outside the Bahamas until it passes through the channel adjacent to Castaway Cay.
The Wonder is at Castaway Cay on Saturdays and returns to Port Canaveral for a Sunday disembarkation. So, although they don't announce it, they would pass sometime during the evening or night on those Saturdays.
Dave, do you think it's more that the ships are too far away to be seen, or that it's the middle of the night, as to why they don't annouce the passing.
Just curious.
We passed the Wonder, but it was dark. We could see it all lit up - but we only knew it was there when a CM told us to look out the window! May be good idea to ask - if you are keen to see them pass each other. Nat
OMG!!! WE SAW IT LAST WEEK!!!! DH was trying to video the waves out the porthole & saw a cruiseship all lit up. He got a close up of it!!! Now we will have to look a little closer at it. We couldn't figure out why the ships that were ahead of us had fallen back.
Sorry for bringing an old thread back but we're sailing on an Eastern Itinerary cruise in June and was wondering when the Magic and Wonder pass, on which side of the Magic will the Wonder be on. I would really like to see it.
