Ohhhhhh this one is good!!! :D Anyone else watch?

Oh I can't wait.

I haven't watched it yet. Hopefully after my DH finishes watching this Family Guy DVD I can talk him into watching Crossing Jordon.

He hates (but I love him anyway) the show so it is a big sacrifice for him.

I saw it and ended up crying at the end. I never watched this show before but saw it last week because of the hook up it had with Las Vegas, now that show I love! I just may end up getting hooked on another show which might not be a good thing. I have way too many shows that I watch each day.

This was the second time I watched it too. Who was Devon? Also, I missed what happened with the Asian people - what was their deal?

Also, what I don't get is that in the episode with the Las Vegas folks, Woody was kissing Sam. Now, he's supposed to be totally vested in the Devon character? I'm confused. Guess I need to watch it some more.

Spoiler alert!!!

{okay, you with me?}

I watched this show since the beginning, but this was the first one for this season. I've been watching Boston Legal instead. So one of the new characters Devon, who I never "met", gets killed. So we think, but no body's been found. One of those Crossing Jordan mysteries. It seems that Devon was also dating the cop (can't remember his name right now) who used to date Jordan. Hmmm ... I missed a lot I guess :).

To answer the question about the Japanese women ... the first woman is the wife of one of the victims. He was traveling with the daughter of the second Japanese woman who showed up at the coroner's office. The husband was having an affair and was killed with his girlfriend. The wife was very upset, but ended up comforting the mother of the girlfriend at the end.

Ya know, we were not exactly sure who Devon was... except that she worked in the ME's. We kinda missed a few of the first epi's this year. :o So I am not exactly sure where she came into play. She must have been dating Woody (although I didn't get that from last weeks) who is the cop.

I am still wondering who Devon was talking to and why she had to up and leave so quickly like she did... ???

The Japanese ladies... One gal lost her husband on the plane who apparently was dating the other ladies 24 year old daughter  The one lady didn't know he had a girlfriend and the other lady didn't know he was married *ooops*.

How sad the whole accident could have possibly been avoided :( You guys saw what caused the fumes right?

Without telling what caused the fumes, I wanted to mention that could not happen the way they set it up.

I only watched it because I was sorting and folding 4 loads of laundry, and I needed something on TV . . .

My points:

1. I don't understand how the plane went down either. The story line was that a Federal Air Marshall recognized a man who was wanted by FBI -- I didn't catch exactly what for. He struggles with the man during the flight. He shoots the man in the leg, but the second bullet hits the back of what must be a motorized wheelchair, releasing sulfuric acid, which mixes with the fiber of the flooring, releasing a toxic gas that overhelms the pilots and the cabin. Pilots put plane on auto-pilot, but plane eventually comes down (as in the Payne Stewart scenario).

Why is there sulfuric acid in the back of a wheelchair???

2. What was Devon saying in French at the beginning of the show?

and finally,

3. Why was Jordan looking at a slide of live spermatozoa under the microscope when Macy walks back into the morgue???

Too many unanswered question and I thought the whole storyline was pretty silly. Why would an air marshall confront the guy during the flight instead of just letting the ground police know of the situation? Where was he going to go before the plane landed? Why was Woody kissing Sam last week but this week he appeared to be in a relationship with Devon? Weakest episode of the season.

I cried when Jordan was talking with Devon's mom at the end. How sad that Devon thought of Jordan as a good friend when at the beginning Jordan said something like "and what makes you think we're friends?" over the phone. It really makes one think about how they treat other people.

About the relationship between Woody and Devon....I don't think they were more than friends. I think they became friends earlier this season when the power went out and Jordan was in the tunnel working on a car accident. I think it was an awkward situation because Woody and Jordan dated (seems they still have feeling for each other) and Jordan does not like Devon. I think that's why it was weird. I'm probably wrong, but oh well.

I watch it some and I think lilpritch04 interpretation is right. They weren't dating just friends.

Not one of my favorite shows, just don't like Boston Public so usually switch.

I was thinking just watching the promos that it would be another episode that was over the top. At least this one didn't die in the line of duty. They've had others that have, I've never thought of the coroner's office as a dangerous place.

They usually don't worry so much about facts as CSI, not usually technically accurate.

1. The sufuric acid came from the bullet hitting the battery in the wheelchair.

2. I have no clue. I don't speak French either, so I don't know what she said.

3. She was supposed to be looking at some kind of microbes from the stommach of the guy who kidnapped his kid. That was the clue that he drank untreated water recently and that he was probably in a campground.

I can explain where the sulfuric acid acid came from, but how it caused a problem is can't be explained.
Power wheelchair batteries DO contain sulfuric acid and lead plates, but that's the only fact in the story.

They showed the bullet puncturing the battery and liquid sulfuric acid pouring out.
BUT, most power wheelchairs have either dry cell or gel batteries. If the case around the battery were to get damaged, the material inside is either a dry powder or similar to Jello. So, it would not leak out.
Even if it was liquid sulfuric acid, it would damage the carpet, but I don't think it would release anything except irritating fumes (not deadly ones). To be deadly, you would need a lot more sulfuric acid than is in one battery and a lot smaller space than an airplane.
Actually, if you use toilet bowl cleaner or one of those chemical drain uncloggers, you have breathed sulfuric acid fumes (although quite dilute).

Power wheelchairs are not transported in the main cabin; they alway go in the hold. Gel or dry batteries can remain in the wheelchair (but they disconnect the battery cables). Any other kind of batteries are boxed up in a leakproof box.

Ok, I didn't see the beginning of the show, but if there were fumes of any kind why didn't the pilots grab their oxygen masks? I can understand that maybe the fumes didn't trigger the release of the masks for the passangers, but surely the pilots could get theirs. They had enough time to radio that they smelled fumes and were activating the autopilot. Grab some oxygen for pete's sake!!

Oh, OK. I guess I've never seen microbes that are supposedly partially digested, and aspirated from a dead guy's stomach swim around quite that energically before.

Missed the episode last night, but I watch this pretty regularly. Problem is I also watch it on A and E and I get confused with which season things happen in! Okay, I was thinking that Devon was around LAST season. I don't think she has been on this year, but maybe I am losing it. There was the old standby sexual tension between her and Woody and a bit of a flirty friendship. This was while Jordan was giving Woody the cold shoulder. IMO she(Jordan) needs to snap that guy up in a heartbeat--he is totally cute and he is a smart guy who is really nice and cares about her. Ugh...television writers never let the good guy just stay happy.

Wanted to add--I have been a bit frustrated with this show as of late. Lots of weak story lines this season. I think it is almost tapped out. Which is sad because it was really hitting its stride for a while there.
