Oh the Pop is so fun. We got such an appreciation of it this year when we did the scavenger hunt... love the picture of your boys with Mr & Mrs Potato Head. The one thing I still haven't done is wander the resort at night when the icons and everything are all lit up.

Taking it easy on day 1 is a great way to start. Oh and play ping-pong! We still haven't done that yet!!

Sounds like you've got the leaving day planned out just right. I wish I could find cheap airfare so we could fly. I search and search every year and the cheapest I have found is over $350 a person. I just can't make myself pay almost a third of what our entire 10 day trip cost on airfare.

I love the pictures of Pop. We visited the resort in 2008 and thought it was just so cute. I actually had our 2009 vacation booked for Pop. But, when we found out that Lacey was coming along, John was worried we'd be too cramped with four in a room. And, we moved back to the CBR.

I actually wish we didn't have to fly. The extra money that we would save on airfare could pay for a longer trip but....we also don't want to be stuck in the car for 2 days either. I think we figured out it would be around 22 hours to drive. Noah gets antsy after a couple hours!!!

I think the rooms at Pop are great for families with small children, but I think as the boys get older we may have to look into something different. (maybe then I can finally convince them to stay at CBR!)

I stayed at Pop Century for a long weekend with my mom in 2008. It was a fun resort!

I think you have the right idea to just hang around the resort & get settled so you are ready for your first park morning.

By the way... I do the same thing with the box in the corner of the bedroom. I won't need sunscreen before our trip, no harm in putting it in the box, right?

It is a fun resort! I would love to try someplace different and I find myself researching all the resorts, trying to convince DH and the boys. But...they just have such a great time at Pop, they really don't want to go anywhere else.

Ahh...the box in the corner is a great idea!! I should do that! I've just been throwing the clothes in the suitcases but all the other stuff I've bought are sitting in bags in a heap in my bedroom. That's funny about the sunscreen....

Love all the POP pictures! We've never made it over there, but I think my boys would love all of the icons. Maybe this next trip we'll head over for a stroll one day! Great 1st day plans

Yeah! It's always fun to see other people's pictures of resorts! We stayed at POP in 2007 and I wish we would have spent more time walking around the whole resort and checking things out! LOVE the pics Angie, your sons are too stinkin' cute!!!

Ahh...I think they're pretty cute...but I may be partial.

When we stayed at Pop in 2008, we barely saw anything except the food court, our room and the section we stayed in. But...there's so much to see!! We didn't realize how much until last year when we did a scavenger hunt with the boys. It was alot of fun and let us see a ton of things we had missed the previous trips.

Oh shoot, did I miss another trivia?! Darn!

Love the pictures from Pop. We've never stayed there but it looks like it's a fun place to stay. I still always wonder why they never finished it though.

I know...I've always wondered that myself. It is kind of strange to look across the lake at the deserted building. I wish they would finish it...it would be kind of cool to see what kind of icons they would put for the 20's,30's, 40's sections.

Hoping to get another trivia question up tomorrow.

POP looks very fun, I can see why people like it so much. Your day 1 plans sound really good!

The scavenger hunt was so much fun!! Although, I liked how you did yours better with the girls against the boys!! Noah has a little bit of a temper (if he loses...especially against Nick.) That's why in our case I thought working together would be a good idea.

I always laugh when I see that Mr and Mrs. Potato Head picture....I think they did a good job posing!! It's funny I never think to walk around the resort at night. The most we've seen is walking back to our room after the fireworks. Ohhh...Ping Ping is a must for us this trip...we haven't done it either.

So.....you've probably said but I can't remember......are you staying at Pop again in December or are you trying a different resort this time?

Hmmmm, funny you should ask actually.

We were going to be two joining rooms at the Pop again but when I priced out Port Orleans Riverside it was cheaper because at the Pop I had to price Alex as an adult (one adult per room) and at POR he is priced as a 15yro. Then we found out this past weekend that the friend Alex was going to take with him can't come after all, so it was back to the Pop with just the four of us.

Then.... George had to put in his vacation week requests yesterday, and he asked for the week we want to go. Soooooooo, if he gets the week off - we won't find out for several weeks - its back to POR.

So, anyway I'm anxious to hear what's going to happen with your resort...keep me up on things.

Wow! Can't believe how fast this week has gone by...but that's okay that means we only have 65 days until Disney!!! Since we start our countdown calendar at 50 days--I think I'm going to head over to Home Depot this weekend to start picking up my Mickeyheads. I know I'm going to need a lot but....we always spend our share at Home Depot. Just as I love planning....I also love to redecorate. (thankfully, DH loves carpentry so it works out. )

So anyway.....on with the Disney Trivia Question. I think I'm going to do an easy and challenging one today.

You missed the food court..huh? I've seen a lot of pics of POR from others TR's. It really does look like such a beautiful resort....and so peaceful compared to Pop. What section did you stay in last time?

We were in the Alligator Bayou part of POR. We asked for a building that was close to both Ol' Man Island and the main hall but it was a bit of a hike to the buses so I'll have to find a better fit if that's where we end up.

Yup...you're right on the second question!!!

That's too bad it was such a long walk to the buses. Hopefully, if you end up staying there you can find something that works out better. I know Missy (mommytothreeboys) has stayed there a couple times maybe she can point you in the right direction.
