The first time I ever saw crocs was in Disney and I thought they were the UGLIEST things ever! Now that they've become more popular and widespread, all I hear about is how comfortable they are, and how much the owners love them. I'm beginning to cave.. however before I do, are they really as wonderful as everyone claims? Are they worth the money? And, when in Disney do you wear socks with them or not? :confused3 Thanks!

Some love Crocs, others get blisters from them. Noone else has feet exactly the same as yours. There are different Crocs styles with different fits. The only ones that fit me are the Crocs Scutes sandals. Why not go to a store and try some on?

If you do a search on Crocs on this board, you will find lots of threads with lots of opinions.

Well I was like you. I thought they were the ugliest things in the world (real world-not disney). However many years ago my sister swore by them and bought me a pair. They sat in my closet for the longest time--maybe 2 years. One day here at home my feet hurt so I put them on. They were awesome. So on our next trip to WDW I packed them in the suitcase just in case I would wear them to the jucuzzi. LOL The first day at the parks I wore my NB tennis shoes (which I like also). By the end of the day I couldn't even walk to the jacuzzi with my dh. So the next day I thought I would wear the crocs just to see what would happen. It couldn't hurt any worse. Well they were fantastic! I wore them for the next 8 days. It was so awesome to not have my feet hurt at the end of the day. I am taking 3-4 pairs in 12 days when I am there again.
I do wear socks with them when it is chilly outside. I try to wear the same color sock as the crocs. I actually found lime green socks at Walmart yesterday on clearance for 75 cents. I couldn't resist--I bought 2 pair. LOL Anyway enjoy and hope you go to WDW without foot pain. LOL

I am a DH

Crocs are very comfortable,,I own 2 pair and plan on buying a Disney pair on Sat when we arrive...

I wear mine everywhere,,,when i get done work my dress shoes come off and the crocs go on.

make sure when you do buy a pair that you don't buy them too big...they should feel just a little tight, but not to tight, because they will stretch out and form to your foot.

There are little knobs ont the footbead, when you are walking it feels like you are getting a foot massage.

I am wearing mine with sox right now b/c of cold weather,,,i've worn them w/out,,,the only problem w/out,,for me anyway,,is that when it is hot out, feet sweating,,they tend to slip a little.

DO NOT BUY THE KNOCK OFFS....

look for the croc button on the side,,,it's a trade mark.

Everyone does have different feet, but I have to tell you as ugly as I thought they were, I bought a black pair before our last trip (also packed along regular tennies in case) and that's all I wore, with and without socks. Miles of Disney walking in comfort. And, the nice thing about them is they are lightweight, great for water parks and water rides, and dry off quickly! I see now they have Disney/Mickey Crocs, where the holes are mickey-head shaped. They are definitely worth it!

I wear them to teach. I can stand in them for ten hours and my feet don't hurt. They are fabulous. I have six pairs now in various colors and am itching to get my hands on a disney pair.

Well, I'm gonna try them out. My first pair should be coming in a couple days, and they're pink! Now I just need to book a trip to try them out- haha! :woohoo:

My friend got the Disney ones online, and they're a lot cuter than the originals! I wanted to make sure I liked them before I splurg for the Disney crocs. :goodvibes

I would hold off on getting them until you see on the budget board there is a deal :) My first pair were on sale, and later when I got my kids each a pair I got those on sale also (both deals I found on the Disboard!). We all have the Disney ones. If you look over there there might be some deals now. I wear my crocs with and without socks. Take a couple days to get use to, mine were kind tight on the sides of my feet (I have wide feet!) but now they are very comfortable :) Good Luck! :goodvibes jen

They definately are worth it!!! At first, I didn't like the way they looked either.... but after a few trips with some sore feet, I figured I would give them a try. I ordered a pair of the sandal type ones and now that they have mickey ones, I'm ordering another pair. Sometimes I will wear one pair of sandals to the park and pack my crocs in my backpack, that way I can switch off. If we are eating at a nicer restaurant for lunch or dinner, sometimes I like to have a bit fancier sandal on, but for touring the parks they are perfect. Your feet will thank you! And definatley wear them with no socks, they are much cuter without them and much more comfy! :goodvibes

I thought they were really ugly too. But you get over the ugliness real fast because they are so comfortable. I wore Croc Scutes, they're a slide, the whole week last August. They are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I was in Disney in December and wore the pearl with pink mickey crocs, they're the beach ones, with socks and they were also comfortable. I've tried the Caymans, and didn't find them as comfortable. You might have to try on a few different pairs to see what feels the best to you. Good luck!!!

I probably should mention that the shoebuy.com promotion code gives $10 off for any shoe. It worked the other day. Not sure it it's still there. Free shipping, too.

Thanks for the tip! I just got a pair of pink ones from that site, and they came in like 2 days! They're going to take some getting used to because of the look, but they are pretty comfy. I'm wearing them around the house to be sure I want to keep them :goodvibes

I tried the code at shoebuy and it says it is only good for bags, luggage, or accessories. :confused3

I myself have even posted on here how dang ugly they are and after reading and reading on this board about the crocs, I just went to their site and looked at them. Really cute colors, even tho I think they are still ugly....but....:wizard: I went to EBAY and just bought me a pair! They are light pink Cayman style...just waiting for them to come!

I have very bad feet, tendonitis in my ankles(my ankles swell so bad sometimes I cant walk), and they hurt so bad after a day in the parks, or even on 45 minutes on the treadmill at the gym, or after a long day in my Timberland workboots!! So, I just bit the bullet and got me a "trial" pair.

I am going to break them in before I go to DW in a few weeks and just ignore how ugly  they are, besides they are PINKprincess: --cant be that bad! :lmao:

I will let ya'll know!

Another teacher checking in to say she LOVES her crocs. I have 2 pair and am looking for more. I wear the Mary Jane black ones to work (Kindergarten teacher) with socks and I am on my feet all day with NO pain. I spent $$$ on orthodics but the crocs work much better.

Only drawback is they don't work real well in snow and ice....

I too have terrible pain in my feet. I have recently found out that I have arthritis in both ankles and it sends horrible pain down the tops of my feet. I wear the crocs because they keep the pain away as much as possible. It used to be when I would wear tennis shoes around the parks all day I wouldn't be able to walk at night. However with the crocs that doesn't happen. It is such a great feeling. I will be there one week from today.

This made me laugh. We got some snow and ice last night and this morning I wore my black crocs to work with some thick black socks under them. I have sneakers in my car if I need them but the crocs are on for now. :)
