Are Crocs really that comfortable? I was reading about them and everyone's comment has said that they are but my sister is threatening to disown me if i wear them on our trip in June :lmao: She doesn't have that power so I just might do it. :rotfl: I need good support for my feet because I have no arches and a knee problem. Please let me know

Yes!

I have no arch in my left foot and barely any arch in my right and I love them! If you are thinking...eeeeh! uncomfortable like Birkenstocks for people with no arches...wrong! The CROCS are much more comfortable! I've only had a pair of fake Birkies, but could only wear them for short periods because of the super high arch.

And forget the butt ugly factor...they have really taken off and are becoming more and more popular. Also, it seems the brighter the color the more attention they get. I've got a pair of khaki, lime green, moss green and chocolate...the only ones that people notice are the lime green. So, if you don't want stares, go with a really neutral color.

If you decide to buy a pair...wear them around a few days with lots of walking to see if they really work for you before taking off in the parks for a whole day.

I have to admit that at first the shoes look butt ugly! However, I heard so much about them on this site that I decided to check them out. The last time I was in WDW I wore a pair of Nike shoes and got blisters the first day so anything was a welcomed relief, especially if the absence of blisters was a promise. They are extremely comfortable and they actually begin to grow on you, I now own 2 pair of beach crocs (red and black) and one pair of niles (sea blue) plus a got a pair for my DS16. Can't wait to test the "no blister" theory.

I totally agree about the ugly factor, but I think they are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. I had read another post on the boards regarding the different brands and bought my DD7 a pair at Payless. She wears them all the time. A friend of mine has both a pair from Payless and a pair of Crocs and she saved me this past weekend at a cheerleading competition we were at. After a day of walking back and forth from the competition site to our hotel, she let me borrow a pair Sat. night when we went to dinner. They were the most comfortable things. She also let me wear them Sunday which ended up being about a 10 hour day and for once my feet didn't hurt at the end of the day. I just got two pairs at Payless and I am planning to take them with me this weekend to our cheerleading competition in Jacksonville.

Tell your sister not to look at your feet. Not to mention when we were there in October we saw a lot of people in them so it's not like people will stare at you.

My family gives me dirty looks when we leave the house and I have them on..BUT they are wonderful...I have bone spurs in my heals and I can actually spend the day in CROCS and my feet feel fine. I just ordered a pair of Nile's today.. can't wait until the come in

LOVE THEM! I actually picked up a 3rd pair (bright yellow!) on the weekend because they are finally selling them up here in Canada! WooHoo!

Since I got my first pair of Crocs about a year ago, I think I have only worn other shoes about 5 or 6 times. They are the most comfy shoes I have ever owned and keep my heel spurs and bad knees under control. Last summer myself and my DD's (17 and 13) walked about 12 miles a day in Crocs at WDW with no trouble. They were a little leery about the way the Crocs look, but even they found that the Crocs were the best shoes they had ever worn to WDW.

One of my co-workers thought I was crazy until she bought her first pair of Crocs last summer. She came into work after a weekend of wearing the Crocs and almost knelt at my feet in thankfulness at how great her feet felt. She has about 4 pair now. :)

My crocs have more "massagers" inside them, but the Payless knock-offs are very squishy too.

If your sister gets annoyed by how crocs look, make sure you order a crazy color like Fuscia, bright yellow (like Mickey's shoes) or LIME GREEN!!!

You can also get yellow and green or yellow and red tie-dye Airwalk versions at Payless..... hey, if your going to wear them, might as well make a statement!!!!

have fun shopping!

How rude!! :furious: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I just happen to own nearly every pair above! Except the LIME and YELLOW they are on my wish list, along with ORANGE!
Oh and yes they ARE WONDERFUL!.........even convinced DH to get a pair.

Are the beach crocs like regular sandals?? What about niles? Has anyone seen them at Walmart because I have seen something like them there and want to know if they work. Thats great to know that my arches wont hurt; what about ankle problems. I sprained my ankle about 5 years ago and according to my mom, b/c she hurt her ankle and has the same problems, that I hurt a sciatic nerve (sp?) in my ankle so it swells when I stand for a long time. :confused3

The Beach crocs are more like a clog with air holes than a sandal. I've read in other threads that the Walmart version doesn't compare to the real thing or the Payless Airwalk. The Nile is an open toe slide with a strap in the back.

I started with one pair of Beach in butter(light yellow) and a pair of the Nile in khaki...love 'em both. I've since ordered two more Beach in navy and light blue and this weekend I bought two pairs of the Athens thong style. I don't usually like something between my toes, but these are so light you don't even know anything is there! All are so comfy....can't wait to try them out at Disney later this month.

I guess I'm in the minority but I don't think they're ugly! I love my purple ones and I'm thinking of getting the bright yellow before my July trip so I can look like Minnie! ::MinnieMo I think if they bothered my sister that would just be more incentive to wear them (insert evil laugh)...

:cool1: where can I buy them? Besides the website that is? I live in SO. California.............

I dont own a pair, but I would like to try the niles they only come in full size Im 81/2. If I get the 9 do you think they will flip on and off

I think they are so ugly but I love mine. I sometime forget I have shoes on when i am at home !!

Well, lets see...I have sage green ones, navy, purple (but my dd has taken them over), just bought some bright blue ones, and the very best ones..lime green!!! Dd has several of the light blue ones and pink ones (as well as my purple ones!). They are without a doubt the most comfy shoe I have worn. I wear them all day long at WDW and my feet are very happy puppies.
I have very high arches, bad knees and my lower back is a royal pain...but when I wear my Crocs...all is right in my world. The body gives me no pain...so, they may not be the most dainty things going, but I just don't give a hoot anymore.

I have black (beach AND niles), white, pink (beach AND niles), navy, lime green, orange, and my favorite...TURQUOISE!!! I think they are cute! I don't care what anyone else thinks about them! :cool1:

My son has 3 pairs and my husband just got his first pair this week! We are all crocaholics! :rotfl2:

If you go to the crocs website they have a search where you can see what stores in your area offer them.
