I have tried on Crocs before and I did not think that they would be comfortable enough to walk around in Disney all day....Am I missing something??? Do they conform to your foot or what? :confused3 Please help me out...Thanks

My dd is very prone to blistering but with Crocs, she doesn't get blisters. My feet don't feel tired/achy after walking in them.

I wear mine around the house a house shoes. I find my feet feel softer and smoother since I've been wearing them.

I wore them yesterday on a "Disney World dry run" to the zoo. Last time at Disney World I wore tennis shoes (good quality and they fit right) and I had bad blisters by the end of the first day, and we didn't even get to the park until 2 pm because of a late plane. By bad blisters I mean I could barely walk.

I wore the "crocs" (AirWalks, the Payless knock-off) all day yesterday walking the zoo from 9 am till 6 pm in conditions similar to Disney World...standing in line, walking on concrete, and up and down ramps and hills. I didn't get a single blister and absolutely no foot pain. I am SOLD on them and wouldn't think of wearing anything else to Disney World!

Do they look silly? Heck, yes. Do I care? Heck, no! I want to feel good!

They aren't hard plastic, even though they look like it. They are made of a kind of foam that is very light and flexible. Got to say that the original Crocs are even more comfortable than the Payless knock-offs.

I also wanted to add that with Crocs, it doesn't matter if it rains. In sneakers you have to walk around with wet shoes. Yuck.

Hey Wierdpaintbllr. My friend let me borrow her blue crocs for a week to try them out and see how they feel(she owns about 6). They were great for house work, walking throuhg forest trails, or even walking through rain! I abosolutely love them, but strangely enough havn't bought some myself yet :confused3 . The only thing i didn't like was that rocks kept getting in my shoes, and i joked that there should certain signs along pathways that read"Croc Stop, please empty your shoes here"! :teeth:

I love Crocs and I wore them when I went on my Disneymoon, but did get a blister on my right heel from the strap...so I ended up wearing them with the strap flipped up to the front. Hmmmm...wonder why I got a blister? :confused3

So funny that this thread was posted - I've been wondering the same thing! I saw some on sale at the store across the street from my office - I might have to check these out as I am on a quest to find shoes that don't make my feet cry at WDW!!

I now have my 3rd pair of crocs. Love them. Check out the budget board, they had a thread a week ago for $22. for a pair.

I love them because it's like going barefoot!
They are so light and don't really touch your foot so you feel like you're not even wearing shoes but you get this great soft, walking-on-a-cloud "landing" with every step! That's what I think makes them so good!

I had no clue about these things. If they're really that comfortable maybe I can get over the styling issues purchase some for our upcoming trip. Do they come in camo?

Danesmom - just wanted to say hi from another dane owner. We have a 6 month old merlequin (our 2nd).

Thanks for all the responses, but I still just don't understand how a hard-soled rubber like shoe could be so comfortable?? I just don't get it....Do they conform to your feet after you wear them, or is brand new as good as it gets?

It's not really hard-soled. It is as if you walk on clouds. Your feet don't get sweaty in them. WIth every step I take, there is wind caressing my toes.

I know, I'm almost writing poetry :rotfl: They are ugly, but SO comfortable!

Do the little bally-things (where your foot goes) wear down? Or do they stay like that forever?

Oh, I see that you are in Brussels, Belgium--My uncle and his wife live there...I wonder if you know them....hmmm...

DD and I both love  them! They aren't hard plastic or rubber at all- more like a lightweight foam. They really are very comfortable. I wore them for most of our last trip to WDW, and my feet felt great- and I am carrying around some serious extra lbs, so walking usually isn't so great for my feet.

I have tried them on, but haven't bought a pair just yet. Now that I am PG with my second I swear I will be purchasing a few pairs. I remember my last pregnancy trying to find shoes that fit my swollen feet. When I tried Crocs on it was truly so comfortable. :cloud9:
Maybe not the cutest shoes and I don't know how my work will feel about me wearing them to the office, but I will be pulling the pregnancy card on this one. ;)

All I know is that I've got to get myself a pair now that they are available in the UK from www.crocshop.co.uk

Crocs are made out of PCCR material. They cost 19 cents to manufacture.

I have a pair of Crocs. I like them because they're so comfortable. I've converted from tennis shoes to Crocs.
