Hi All ~
I purchased fake croc like shoes at Target- they were on sale for 6.00. So I bought them for everyone in the family thinking they would be great for our upcoming trip.
So my question is am I going to be okay with the Knockoffs? Has anyone that has the real crocs ever tried the fake ones? Are they really that different. I know with some things generics are the same and with some they are no way close. But since I have no experience with the real thing I am not sure. 32 a piece for four people sounded crazy :scared1: - 6 dollars I can handle.

IMHO, yes, there really is a difference. I bought a knock off pair out of desperation while away from home and wearing different shoes (shoulda known better) anyway, huge difference in the comfort level-which is a big part of why we wear them at WDW. I would seriously consider getting the real thing, I promise you get your money's worth.

I've looked at the Target knock-offs before and they seem to be made of hard plastic whereas Crocs are more flexible. My sister uses the Target brand for gardening because they're easy to clean, but she says they're not that comfortable. I have 2 pair of Crocs and they are comfortable.

I would suggest looking at some real Crocs in a mall. Compare the flexibility of the material to your Target brand. I think you'll find there's a difference. The flexibility plays a big role in keeping them from rubbing on your feet and causing blisters.

Trust me when I say buy the real crocs, the knockoffs will have your dogs (feet) just a barking. Crocs are my family's choice in shoes whenever we go to Disney World, they are so comfortable!

Thank you all for your quick responses ... I was afraid of this. I have been wearing them to get used to the feel. But I kept wondering if I could stand 8 hours or longer in them. I will have to give some real thought back to my comfortable tennis shoes now because we leave in a few days and I just can't really stand to spend my money on footwear right now !! I would prefer to spend it on all things disney .. I am sure you all know what I mean !!

You could always compromise and get the mickey crocs they sell in WDW!:thumbsup2

This sounds like a great idea. How much do they run ?? I bought all these crazy disney jibbitz (on e-bay cheap) and I have to show them off somehow!!

I'm not sure exactly how much they are, somewhere around $30 if memory serves me correctly. You can check them out on the croc website http://shop.crocs.com//p-61-disney-...=41p&subsectionname=Footwear&section=products
They also sell them is several stores in the world!

Thanks for the link : This bummed me out.... Note: Disney© Beach Crocs have larger ventilation holes and are not compatible with Jibbitz

Darn .... guess there goes that idea !! I have 50 disney jibbitz --- and my son will not part with putting Mator on his crocs.

Try checking your local Marshalls/TJMaxx. I know that at least one of those had crocs within the last month or so for pretty reasonable. Maybe 15ish instead of 30?

I have the real thing. In fact I buy mine at Disney World because they are so cute and constitute a suvinier. I would also plan on taking some gym shoes that you have broken in a while besides. Crocs are comfy, but not all day for days.

Actually, I wear Jibbitz in my Mickey crocs and they work fine. Disney even has little plastic circles on the Jibbitz they sell to help keep them in.

I have tried on all the knock off version of Crocs and the only ones that feel close to the real thing are the ones from Payless. I have seen lots of kids Crocs at my local Marshalls lately but unfortunately not in the right size and color combo for my DD, but I keep checking.

I'll say first that I LOVE crocs very comfy. THat being said I decided to get Teva sandals instead this year. I wor my crocs so much last year on our trip that I wore the tread off in one trip. $30 + for shoes that I am going to wear the tread off in a couple weeks was too much (got an excellent deal on the TEVA btw). Also I fall alot in my Crocs when the ground is wet, esp once the tread starts to wear. I spent last year trying to catch myself from falling everytime I walked on wet ground. So I decided the crocs at WDW are not for me I'll wear them when I am home and in real life. AS far as the knock offs and real crocs the kids get air walks and they find them very comfortable. I have had those too and found them comfortable. But I also tend to lean towards the real crocs when I buy for myself. THe walmart target etc seem harder to me.

Can you tell me what "jibbitz" means please?
I am considering getting all my girls a pair of crocs in Disney. Thanks.

Real crocs are definately better, and you do not have to pay $32 for them. Right now there is a sale link on msn.com. Scroll down and look on the right for the shopping section. It says shoe sale: Save 20%+free shipping. The link goes to shoebuy.com I have ordered from them several times and never had a problem.

Regular crocs: Adult-23.96 kids-20.36

Disney crocs: Adult-27.96 kids-23.96

Each time I ordered from them the shipping only took 2 days. Hope this info helps you out. Have a great trip.

Jibbitz are little charms that fit into the holes in Crocs. At Disney, they have all kinds of Disney characters, from princesses to CARS, to Mickey, Goofy, etc. They are cheap, only about $4 each. But they don't fit into the Mickey Crocs well because of the mouse-shaped holes. They tend to fall out.
