crocs to get or not to get

I just got a pearl colored pair of the sandal style today. The sandal style is actually cute and much less bulky than the other styles. They run huge! I put on a medium because I'm a 7 1/2 but they were way too big. I'll put them on tonight and wear them around. They look really comfortable.

I have poste on the other thread that I wore these for 10 days straight and we were non stop--go, go, go. With only one day to the beach--They were incredible and shoes in generally really hurt my feet. It literally saved my vacation and my husband was shocked at how much I was actually able to walk.

OT ---- Hey Dchef, how do you clean yours? I have a light color and think I need a darker pair, they seem to look dirty quick. Thanks.

My dd has the light blue and they are always getting dirty. She just sticks them in the sink, rinses them and sometimes uses a little dish detergent on them. I have also heard that you can sanitize them every once in awhile by rinsing them in a weak bleach solution.

After reading this post, I am thinking about ordering a pair! With so many great reviews, I don't think I could go wrong. The last thing you want to deal with is blisters and cuts on your feet during vacation (which happened to me last time!) I wear an 8 1/2 in regular shoes so would want a medium according to the chart but some people say to get small? Any advice/input? Thanks! :cool1:

Does anyone know where I can find them in the southern Ohio area (Dayton/Cincinnati)? I tried to buy the knockoffs at Payless. Those are HUGE! I usually wear a size 6 and the size 5 looked about 3 sizes too big on me. My daughter wears a size 10 and the size 5 seemed to fit her just fine (but she hated the looks of them).

I want to try them on and "see" them before I buy!

I'm leaving in 10 days. I want CROCS!!

Great Crocs! Dchef will have to come in, but I think I remember that she washes them in the sink and then swipes an "Armor All" over them! hmmm

Me? Well, I succumbed to the infomercial and bought a scunci steam cleaner (got mine at Target on sale) (a friend on another internet message board swears by this, she has high allergies and went thru different steam cleaners, but scunci has the best power from her point of view..) ANYWAY, I take my scunci on my PinK UGLY crocs, and ta daa, all clean!! (My toe on my right shoe had a little scuff mark that was getting dirtier and dirtier...scunci steamed it right off, and the crocs look bright again... of course I did a midnight run to the post office, slipped in the mud and have to do it again today!! :rotfl2: ) :rotfl2:

Size issues... ok I may get feet envy of all the posts of these tiny feet people (I'm an 11, so as an 11, you just get used to HUGE shoes!) These essentially are "clogs" clogs are huge... because of the resin in them they mold to your feet with your body heat. I have the L (and I honestly thought I'd need an XL, or a men's size) 10 - 11, and yes my toe kinda sorta touches the top, but I have lots of wiggle room, cause I do like to wiggle my tootsies in these shoes... so that would make them big?

Ha, and I was the kinda person that only wore tapered shoes, I hate that straight toe it looks like an axe chopped off the top of your shoes, yuck for me, or now they have a real rounded front... these look like a MAN's shoe, but they're clogs style... but I can walk, and for me, walking without a cane, its a miracle, and I'll just LOL and stand out loud, and start a trend in my town.

and yes, whenever anyone points at my feet, I oblige them and say, what my ugly shoes... let me tell you about that!!

REI.com carries them does great, and zappos.com also carries them, as well as crocs.com...............

What's taking you so long getting YOUR crocs??? :cool1:

I wore mine to my parents' last weekend and almost lost them to my mother. Thank goodness she's a different size! Dad also tried them on and they actually looked pretty good on him.

I thought they were ugly until I started wearing them a lot. I wore them with boot-cut jeans to work last Friday and at least three people asked me about them. I ordered the khaki Beach model from Zappos, and they arrived less than three days later!

i just bought some from nordstroms last night. they seem to be poping up at my dept. stores. I got a black pair in size 8 and they are loose (i have narrow feet) but the other size my heel was all the way to the back and my toe was hitting the front. I tried them with and without socks yesterday and so far so good.

i'll keep people updated. I might take them to Ireland with me as a trial run for my WDW trip.

Worst that happens a spent 29$ on ugly shoes that I can wear around the pool... best... well I can get 2 more and still not have spent what one pair of echo sandles cost.

My question regarding Crocs would be do they cause blistering. My WDW ritual is to use Body Glide under my toes and then put on anti-blister Dri-Fit socks and a good pair of running shoes. But, by the end of the day, I still usually have one ot two blisters. Heck I get blisters if I spend the day at the mall and don't do the above ritual. So, will Crocs work for me?

I have a pair of Crocs and got them because of a thread here. I want to get the sandals, too. I really like mine. However, when I wear them without socks, my feet sweat. My husband is the manager of a grocery store, and I do demos for him sometimes. Last time I wore my crocs, because my feet are usually killing me after standing on a hard floor for six hours. They didn't hurt one bit. I'm sold on them.

I want to know how long does it take to get them ---I ordered a pair of the Niles back on 3/10/05 still as of today do not have them.

I'm really happy they are getting in fushia and lime green in may at my store(westies) so i'm going to wait until then to get mine! i sure hope i made the right decision on the size. I got a medium....i usually wear a 7 1/2-8. So if anyone recomends a small please let me know! I can't wait to see the new colors!

I got them recently and I also wear 7 1/2 - 8 and I had ordered the 8-9 and they were too big. I am now waiting for the small. HTH :cool1:

The only complaint I have with my crocs is that they are very slippery when they get wet. I went to a hot tub party last night and wore them. When I got out I put my Niles on and slip slided up the deck. Im not sure if I will end up wearing them alot on our trip.

I haven't had any problem with blister and not the whole time we were in WDW--I feel very fortunate that is for sure. We went Jan/Feb and we had a few warm days and no sweating either--These are great because even if your feet should sweat...there is no odor what so ever and I LOVE that!!

I like to use just plain dish soap on them or something like the orange cleaner or 409 works really well. Occassionally I use the Armor All wipes on them to give them a sheen when they are looking dull--works GREAT.

When I bought mine the sales lady said the only problem they had had with the Crocs is that they are not sized consistently. Depending on where they were made and when the store got them in, the same styles would fit differently. She was right. I bought med in both the Beach model (at Hallmarks) and med in the sandals (at Wild Birds Unlimited). I tried on three pairs of the sandals on her recommendation and each fit a little differently. One pair of med were huge and the other pair my toe just touched the end. The other pair were small and fit exactly like the med ones I bought. My beach model feels ALOT bigger than my sandals. I wear a size 8M, by the way usually. My mother bought a pair of Ex-Large in the beach model and then decided she wanted another pair. When she went back, the EX-Large were too big and she had to get a Large. She says both pair feel the same on her feet.

Ok so I caved in....found a local store and got myself some Crocs for my upcoming honeymoon. They felt a little big in the back but my toes came almost to the top in the front. I got the sandel model, which with cute capri's and a nice tank I think can be made very cute! I'll let you guys know how my feet fare in them when I return! :goodvibes

Where is the best place online to buy Crocs? I've decided I want to get a pair of the sandals. I always struggle to find a comfortable pair of shoes I can wear with shorts.
