My 2 yr old is right now at a size 7. I am looking to get her a pair for disneyworld in May b/c I heard they were great, especially to do a lot of walking in. I am looking at the sizes and I see a 6/7 and 8/9. With your experiences, should I go up or down. She definitely won't be a size 8 in 2 months but I don't know if a 6/7 would be too small. I know this isn't a "real" problem, but I don't want to search all over and do all kinds of returns and exchanges if I could just get a few tips.
thanks!!!

Well, I think they run big. My 2 year old wears a 7 1/2, some 8's. And he is still in the 6-7 crocs. I got him a pair of 8-9's and he was just walking out of them.

And my 5 year old who wears a size 9 1/2 -10, is still wearing his 8-9 crocs.

They definitely run big. My daughter wears a 13 to 13 1/2 and she wears the 12-13 with plenty of room. Good luck!

We love crocs. My kids have worn them for years. Just remember though that crocs are supposed to fit big. You are getting the right fit if they have some room. If they fit too tight then that's when blisters might happen because they are rubbing. My four year olds wear a 10 1/2 in regular shoes, and I just bought them 10/11 in crocs. If possible you might want to go to a store that has them to try them on. If you look at the website, this is what it says about the fit.

Crocs™ should not fit like other shoes:

They should fit very loosely.
The sides of your foot should not really touch the sides of the shoe.
Your toes should never make contact with the front of the shoe.
Once you have centered your foot on the foot-bed:
You should have about a 1/4 to 1/2 inch of space in front of your toes, behind your heel and when you lift the strap you should be able to comfortably get your finger between the strap and heel.
In other words the fit should be "loose".
I know that this goes against everything that you have ever been used to in a shoe, but these are the parameters that the shoe was designed to be worn under.
No Pressure points Ever!

I would get the bigger size. I have found that if you are at the top of the size (7 in a 6/7) they don't fit right.

How do you find that toddlers walk in crocs???

I LOVE mine, have several pairs, but will be getting DGB his first pair this summer. He is 16 mo old now, and has been walking since 10 months and walks and runs well, and rarely falls. He loves my crocs and is always wanting to put them on and carries them and puts them in his closet!!

My preschool children all do well in their crocs but he is much younger.
BTW HE wears a 7 1/2 but needs new shoes and will need an 8:eek: .

I agree they run big. My 1 year old wore them all last summer. and had no problem walking in them. The only issues we ran into was: when it rains they are terrible, and when you have to wear something nice they don't really go.

Note: Crocs does have a store in the MCO airport if you are flying down, but I don't remember if they sell the Disney one's there. I assume they sell them in downtown Disney as I had seen similar shoes for sale there. I know for sure that the sell them on the cruise ship.

Try the croclings for him. The kind that have the fabric tops/straps. That's what I bought my little man last summer. (He was about 16 months then) He couldn't slip them on himself, but they stayed on really well. My nephew, the same age, had the regular crocs and they would always fall off when we were out, especially when they would stroller dangle, but he walked fine in them.

My son is a 9W, I get 10-11 caymans. If they are alittle big I will stick them in the dryer for a few minutes. It shrinks them right up. It's a good thing to do if between sizes.

Wow!! I didn't know that. I wish I would have before I bought our disney crocs:rotfl: Both of my kids are in between sizes and I chose to keep them in the smaller size b/c they were walking out of the next size up. I was afraid they would lose them on a ride or trip in them.

:thumbsup2 With my DN and DN's, it seems like the width of the foot matters too -

DN - 3 wears an 9W - but we couldnt cram the 8/9 on his feet!! lol!! we needed the 10/11

DN - 5 has an narrow foot and wears size 11 - so the 10/11 fit her perfectly

DN - 15 mos has an average foot and wore a 6 and the 6/7 were a tiny big but fine - she loves them - i would love to try the crocklings with her though = they are sooooo cute!!

although they swoon over the mickey crocs, they love the jibbitz more - so we do crocs from the outlet for 19.99 or less and have fun with jibbitz when we can - i like to make jibbitz for them as well as buying them in the parks!! My widefooted guy did start to get a hot spot on the inside of 1 foot, but the next day we put some bodyglide on there and badabing - no problem....

try to break 'em in at home first,...also, i love how the crocs can look new in an instant!!!
