We just returned last night 8/22 from a great trip. Thanks to everyone, I wore crocs and Bodyglide and had no blisters. The Croc Scutes are the most comfortable pair of ugly shoes I have ever worn. I did put Bodyglide on first, but I probably really never needed it. Last year I had so many blisters from broken in Nikes and I was always putting bandaids on them. I'm going on a girls only trip in December and don't know if it will be warm enough for my Crocs. I really want to wear them. Thanks again for all the great tips. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the tip! I love my scutes and yes they are ugly but I wouldn't give them up for anything.........

What color did you buy? I have the brown.

Did you wear them in the parks each day? I'm leary about that and afraid of blisters but boy would I love to ditch the socks and tennis shoes!

I wore mine but did not have bodyglide. I got 7 blisters. Use the bodyglide or even just rub your feet with deodorant first.

I love, love, love my scutes--better than any other Crocs I've purchased. I've never got a blister from any of them, but the scutes are, by far, the most comfy. Hubby even has two pair!

Hi
I bought the navy blue, and probably should've bought the brown. They would match more of my clothes. I wish they would come out with a tan or khaki color. The first day was a shorter day for us at AK, so I wore my other sandals and started to get a blister. So the rest of the week I wore my Crocs and they were great. I even wore them on the plane to go home. Also, I bought the bodyglide at a sporting goods store. Have a great blister free trip. :thumbsup2

Are the Scutes pretty wide like the Beach and Athens? I really want to get some of those (I love my Beach and Athens), but am concerned about the width. I have wide feet and those two fit me perfectly!

Hi
The Scutes are pretty wide. I have a wide foot and they were perfect!

Where do I find "Bodyglide"?

You can find body glide at many sporting good stores. For example if there is an Eastern Mountain Sport near you, they tend to have it.

I have used Body Glide before when I wore socks and tennis shoes...Absolutely no blisters for the first time in fifteen years! But, when I tried Body Glide with my Tevas...my feet felt a bit "slippery" ...Wouldn't I get the same result using Body Glide with Crocs? :confused3 I'd love to be able to wear my crocs all day long at the parks...but, it seems to me that the Body Glide (without wearing socks) would make my feet slide...

Wear socks in the winter! It may not even be cold enough for socks but I have seen Crocs brand socks that have little dots on them to match the Crocs. They also make a winter version called Aspen that doesn't have holes.

Hi
My feet did slide a little bit at first with the Body Glide on while wearing my Crocs, but it didn't last long. By the time I walked to the bus, I didn't feel any slipping. I think the Body Glide must get absorbed or something, because my feet felt great.

Are the Athens (flip flop crocs) comfortable too? I haven't worn any of them, but I have been hearing they are so comfortable for walking, and my mom's foot dr told her they were very good for her feet!

I've had the crocs flip flops for about a week now... they are very comfy, but the toe strap hurts (at least at first.) Be sure to be ok with them before trying a whole day in the park. I could imagine the blister if I wore them all day today.

Do you mean wearing a thong type sandle hurts, or that particular shoe hurts? Does that make sense? I am used to wearing a flip flop type shoe, so I am used to having the toe strap there, but I can see where some shoes could need a "wear in" time for the toe strap.

Thanks for the info!

Gotta tell you guys, I've been reading about Crocs on here for a few days and am ready to go buy them. :) How long does it usually take to break them in? Has anyone bought them and worn at Disney without breaking them in?

Hi
There wasn't any need to break in my Crocs. They were comfortable from the minute I put them on. I only wore them to the shore, on the boardwalk one day and the mall, but other than that, I really didn't wear them until I went to the parks. I wore them all day and my feet felt great.
