Not sure if this is the right place to post this but....

I've been reading that crocs are highly recommended for disney trips and was looking into getting a pair.

Is anyone familiar with their sizing? I usually wear an 8, but according to their sizing chart I should order a 10. Does that seem right?

I wear an 8 and my Crocs (the basic original ones and a pair of Disney Crocs) are both size Medium which is women's 8-9, men's 6-7. I think they fit great and just wore the Disney Crocs 9 days in the parks with no blisters or overly sore feet. The Disney Crocs are for sale in seemingly every Disney gift shop and were only $2 more at WDW than what I paid at my local mall. ($37 at WDW, I think)

With these shoes always better to go bigger than smaller. Your foot is supposed to have room to move. I wear a 9 and get a 10. So an 8 to a 10 might be a little roomier, but doable.

Of course you know about the new Disney crocs and if you're opting for the traditional ones be sure to check out the new Disney jibbitz for decorations.

Now even though I'm a big fan of CROCS I still wear athletic/walking shoes on long days in the parks. In my well-traveled opinion :) they are more comfortable. The CROCS are better for trips to the pool etc.
I should mention we average 10 miles a day on our pedometer.

Have a great trip!

My local Hallmark stores have had the Disney Croc's on sale recently, buy 1 get 1 half off. Bought some new ones for my sons and was happy for the $15 savings.

Make sure you get the styles with holes in them, ie: Cayman, Beach, Athens...I purchased ones without holes and my feet sweat while wearing them.

I personally suggest some socks with your crocs if you are planning on wearing them around for days on end at WDW. I wore crocs WITHOUT socks the first 3 days and ended up with blisters so bad I could barely put any shoes on my feet for the remaining 4 days of our trip. I had to literally wrap my feet in bandages and mole skin. My husband made fun of my feet. They looked like feet that had just come out of 2 weeks of survival training or boot camp. It was awful.

Wear socks!

Other than that, I have the same size crocs as my shoe size (8-9) and they are comfortable. I have 4 pairs. I like the sandals too.

I bought size 6-7 disney crocs b/c I'm a size 7-71/2 depending on the type of shoe. The 8-9 were way too big so I had to go with the small 6-7 and they fit a little loose but not as bad as the 8-9 so I think I chose the right size. we'll see when I try them out for the first time at Disney in March.=0) Hubby got a pair also and he got the medium size b/c he is in between a size 9 and 10 but the large size in crocs fit him too big also so he went went with smaller size also he said they fit loose but comfy and the large size of course fit way to big. I hope we went with the right sizes.:goodvibes

I am a solid size 9 in regular shoes, but wear the Crocs size 8 perfectly in the new Mary Jane style--my first and only Crocs purchase. You can slip down the back strap to make it a 'clog' style.
Another thing about the Mary Janes is that they actually make your feet look smaller--really!
When I wear them with socks my feet do get hot, so now I'm 'training' by wearing them without socks when I walk. I'll also trade off every other day to sneakers with socks when we're in WDW in April.

IT DEPENDS. i tried on a few pair at our local store before I ordered our Disney crocs back in November. But they are a different style, and the sizing was different in them. My suggestion would be to go to the store, try them on and buy what you like then and there!

Definitely try on Crocs for the style you are interested in. If you are needing a different color, then go online. Like I said, I'm a solid 9 in normal shoes, but a true 8 in Crocs Mary Janes with holes.

Just back from WDW and bought Crocs at Pop Century. I went with the small, 6-7 even though I normally wear a 7 1/2 to 8 shoe. The 8-9's felt too big. My almost 11 years old son went with the Med's though, he said they felt fine and he wanted room to grow! He normally wears an 8 to 8 1/2 men's shoe. If you have doubts, wait and try them on when you get there.

Word on the street (from other posters on this and other travel boards) is to buy them and WEAR them before you go to 12 straight hours a day at WDW. Some people swear by wearing socks with them, but I like them 'naked'--my feet get too hot otherwise. If you start wearing them before you go, then you shouldn't have any problems...

If anyone lives in Texas, I saw Crocs in Academy with Mickey Ear shaped holes (I guess these are "Disney Crocs?"). Don't remember the price...But a good way to get them and break them in before going to WDW!:thumbsup2

Thanks

Just got my son a pair for $13.99!

I wear a women's size 8 shoe. My Crocs are size 8 Caymans - I have 3 pairs. The sizing for the Beach style is different - it is S,M,L. The Medium in regular Beach Crocs are too big for me, but I heard the Disney Crocs run a bit smaller. I tried on a pair of Mediums at MK earlier this month and they were fine. I didn't buy them because we only had carry-ons and I didn't have room! I will buy some when we go back.

Slightly off original topic but related.....
Are the Disney Jibbitz available anywhere in WDW?

I suggest buying the Beach or Caymans for Disney and not the Mary Janes. I wore my Beach Crocs for a 3 day trip last April while I was 7 1/2 mths pregnant. I wore them every day and had no problems. I wore my Mary Janes for a 1 day trip last October (not pregnant) and my feet were killing me by afternoon. I'm sure there are other styles that may be just as comfy for Disney but from my experience, the Mary Janes have a lot less support than some of the other styles. They are really cute though and fine for wearing around town. I get tons of compliments on them :goodvibes

We got our Disney Crocs!!! YYYeeeaaahhh.....
We are ready for our next trip March 30 thru April 1st @ the Coronado Springs Resort.......We can't cuz it's our 1st time staying there:woohoo:
