I would just like to thank all the posters on here that recommended Crocs as the shoes to wear around Disney.

I have just returned from my 5th trip to Disney from the UK and this is the first time I have not suffered with my feet. I gave in and purchased a pair of crocs from ebay for this visit and it was the best thing I have ever done!

No sore tired feet and NO blisters!!!

I have tried trainers and a brand called Fly Flots(these absolutely crippled me) but nothing beats crocs!!

Thanks everyone and here is to my next trip in September 06 (if my hubby lets me) if not, cant wait until the 27 Jan 07!!!

Hi Claire,

I agree Crocs are the most comfy shoes for lots of walking :thumbsup2 (though possibly not the most attractive ;) )

I love mine :thumbsup2

I love mine too

I have been wearing mine to work for the last two weeks, they have been a god send lol though the girls at work call them my "special" shoes lol

Told you! :thumbsup2

Do the mens ones look o.k, I only ask because DD13 will not be seen in public with me if they are 'a bit dodgy'

My DH has brown crocs and I think they look pretty good. It is an unobtrusive color and when he wears them I don't really notice them much. I think they look better than his sandals.

Take her along when you buy them... she'll fall in love too and you'll be the cool dad!

Welcome to the Crocs lovers group! They are truly the only shoes to walk long distances in. As for men, my DH owns 3 pair (loafer type, blue and off white) and both DS have 3+ pair each. They are for women and men equally.

Which style do people recommend wearing in Disney that will be the most comfortable? And where can you get them for the best value?

Thanks! :thumbsup2

What are they and where can you buy them, i'd be really interested for our next trip, not bothered too much what they look like aslong as there comfy, made a big mistake the first trip of taking nice looking new shoes, ouch!

I bought mine from www.crocshop.co.uk. They are ugly but I dont care as they are light as a feather and comfy as can be. They will be a godsend in the parks in August! :cool1:

I got a pair before our trip in February and wore them as slippers and around the resort. I wasn't brave enough to wear them to the parks - mainly because I am in my upper 50's and thought I would look particularly odd!!
Since returning home, they have hardly been off my feet at home(still won't go out in them), and they are the most comfortable pair of footwear I have ever worn! :thumbsup2
My husband was impressed and bought a black pair over there and uses them as slippers. He thinks they are brilliant. Our friends ask interested questions, but I think they think we are a little mad! :teeth:
I would love to be brave enough to wear them in the parks next time as I think I would have no foot problems at all.

I've just gone and ordered some as you seem to think they are the best thing to wear. I'll get in some walking practice with them! May even persuade DH and the boys to get some, I don't think they're ugly though anyway who cares, if they are as comfy as you say we'll be the ones with happy feet at the end of the day!

There were plenty of men wearing them when we were at the parks in March / April :thumbsup2

Personally I think they look much better than the 'socks and sandals look' (or even trainers) ;)

I have the Athens, flip flop type which, at the moment, can't be bought in the UK :)
You can buy them from 'Dillards' when you get there.
There's a 'Croc' shop at MCO but they hardly had any sizes at all when we were there :sad2:

you have all convinced me, I am going to get myself a pair for my trip in Ocotober, this should make my feet very happy !!

Possibly a stupid question - do you wear socks with crocs? I don't like the thought of not wearing them!

Quite a lot of people do :thumbsup2

Obviously not with the Athens tho.................. ;)

To be honest, I find them more comfy in hot weather without socks.. but you could do! In fact Crocs even do special socks ...

I love my crocs! I have 4 pairs of black (2 beach and 2 aspen), purple, light blue, pink, fuschia, lime green and the turquoise ones are winging their way over here from the US now!
I wear them non stop in the summer!!

Hi Sammie

Where do you order them from in the US please ?

I have a light blue beach pair on order atm, but if thay are as comfrtable as eceryine says then I may feel the need for fushia and purple.
