I've become one of "them". lol

Never really paid alot of attention to the CROCS threads, other than just knowing they are very popular & supposed to be comfy.

DH & I were at the commissary / px earlier today & I spotted a display. Their was only 1 pair left in my size. Black. $24. So I grabbed them. :thumbsup2

Asked DH if he wanted to try on a pair. He looked at me in that "are you crazy?" look. :lmao: Ummm, guess that's a no.

I'm wearing them around the house. Seem really comfy.

So, anything I need to know. Will they get stinky like my Teva's & Birkenstocks? Can I toss them in the washing machine with bleach if they do?

Was $24 a good price? I have no clue. I suppose I'll need more in other colors too for the summer. ;)

You will love them.. wait til you wear them to WDW.. You wont believe it.. it makes a world of difference.. I just wash mine by hand and let them dry in the laundry room.. I just ordered a pair of disney ones and cant wait till they come in, but I love my tan ones..

Disney ones??? OMG, tell me more.

So, was $24 an ok price?

$24 is a good price.. I paid I think $26-$28 for mine at Academy.. but its been a year or so, so I dont remember exactly..

they have some disney ones at www.nofeargear.com

some are in stock, or they were a few days ago and the others are on back order and have approx ship dates.. I originally ordered from crocs.com but they cancelled my order and refunded my money.. those are running $35 if I remember correctly.. but very cool so I think they are worth it..

My legs used to hurt so bad after a day at WDW and when I went last March I wore my crocs and I cant even begin to tell you the difference it made.. I made it thru the whole day with no feet hurting at all..

You'll love them! I have 3 pairs and they are the best. I like to keep one for working in the yard then I just rinse them off with the hose or dip my feet in the pool. They have never gotten stinky. I've never put them in the washer and dryer. The lighter pair got dirty and I washed them by hand like the previous poster said.

Oh yeah, dh just couldn't stand to hear me raving about how great they felt. He bought himself a pair from Dillards and loves his, too.

I just paid $30.98 for a pair I bought at my University bookstore.

Welcome to the club. Great to have ya. ;)

Welcome to the dark side!:rotfl: :rotfl:

Like you, I was never really interested in Crocs. My DD5 (going on 15!) decided that she HAD to have a pink pair early this past fall. So I bought her a pair. She kept telling me I should get a pair. Repeatedly told me how comfy they are. She wears hers every chance she gets.

After seeing a discount code on the DIS budget boards, I decided to buy a pair for myself several weeks ago. Those **** shoes have become my absolute favorite shoes, and now I'm hooked! I wore them without socks at first, since the weather was unseasonably warm around here this fall. Now I throw on a pair of cushy socks and wear them despite chillier temps. The only thing I regret about buying them is having to hear "I told you so" from a 5 y.o.!!!!!

I've seen Crocs for $29 - $38 in various locations, so $24 seems like a pretty good deal.

As for us, Santa brought DD a purple pair for Christmas, and I've already asked DH for a gray or black pair for my birthday next month.

DH and DS7 make fun of DD and me in our Crocs, but they don't know what they're missing! ;)

OMG! http://www.nofeargear.com/nofear/dept.asp?s_id=0&dept_id=6185 Are those not the coolest things? :lmao: :cool1: :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

Mine were the Beach type -- whatever that means.

We didn't have a WDW trip planned, but ya know, I must just have to book one to check out everyones reviews on them. hehehehehe

So, is the park overrun with Croc wearing people? lol I didn't notice in 2005.

Welcome to the Croc side! :goodvibes
I also had no interest in owning a pair until they came out with the Disney ones and I decided I just HAD to have them. I sent the ILs with a link to some website (don't recall the name now) that was selling them for around 25 bucks and told them I didn't care if I got anything else for Christmas, as long as I got those.

Well, come Christmas day, I did indeed get a pair of the pink ones and I swear to god I am never taking them off!

Supposedly, you can throw your Crocs in the washing machine (no bleach please!) and they'll come clean. Also, according to a couple of different Croc fan websites I've come across, no matter how wet/sweaty your feet get, your Crocs will not get stinky like Birkenstocks/Tevas. :)

Just whatever you do, don't throw them in the dryer or leave them out in the summer heat as that might make them shrink. Or so I've heard.

I wear mine almost every day and they never smell! You can bleach them.. I've cleand my Crocs with a toothbrush and 409 once! And like everyone else has said, when you wear them to Disney you'll feel the difference. They're great.

Yes .. crocs are everywhere at WDW.. I saw alot of them earlier this year when I went.. even babies and little kiddos are wearing them.. Its funny to see the entire family wearing them..

I just saw TOV's poll about up & over or down & back. I didn't even know about that. So, I tried down & back, & they seem small that way, even without socks.

I guess I'll have to try another size if I find them in a store again.

I was just checking out all the cool colors. :)

That kind of bothered me just a tad at first, too. I was thinking, "Geeze these are big."
Then I remembered how the website said they were supposed to be like that and I eventually got used to it. I'm so used to wearing them barefoot, actually, that when I went shopping today (something I swear I am NEVER EVER doing again! ) and wore them with socks because of the chilly weather, they actually felt a little too snug.

Thanks for that info. I think I'll go up a size when I order more. hehehe Because I am getting more. :thumbsup2

I can still wear these. They aren't bad. I can always save them for the garden.

$24 is a good price. I paid about that for my Disney Crocs in early Dec. I;ve got 4 pairs of the things now. Thed Mary Jane style ones are cute too.

welcome to the croc side of life! :goodvibes I don't throw mine in the washing machine, but have heard of people who do! I just wash them in soapy water in the sink!

So, is there a big CROC thread somewhere I never noticed?

Best place to buy? Worst place to buy?
Sizing differences in styles.
Ya know, that type of stuff.

I realize the thread might be old & buried by now. I'm a bit behind I guess. lol
