I wear them all day every day unless it is too wet or snowy (grrr Montana) and even then if I have a well-shoveled path to walk on I may chance it. 
I can't wear them to work, because dress code states that my shoes have to have closed toes AND heels - no clogs of any kind - otherwise I would wear them there too.
I own 5 different pairs/colors.
I don't think they are ugly, and I am sorry if anyone else does, but to me they are comfortable, and they have been the best thing in the world for my plantar fascitis. I refuse to let anyone else's notions of fashion dictate what I wear anyhow.
I love my Crocs!
