Crocs - Like or Dislike?

I wear them all day every day unless it is too wet or snowy (grrr Montana) and even then if I have a well-shoveled path to walk on I may chance it. ;)

I can't wear them to work, because dress code states that my shoes have to have closed toes AND heels - no clogs of any kind - otherwise I would wear them there too.

I own 5 different pairs/colors.

I don't think they are ugly, and I am sorry if anyone else does, but to me they are comfortable, and they have been the best thing in the world for my plantar fascitis. I refuse to let anyone else's notions of fashion dictate what I wear anyhow. :hippie: I love my Crocs!

Well I certainly don't care what anyone else wears ;) but I do not wear Crocs. Never have, never will.:thumbsup2

But I do wear Birkenstocks, go figure. :lmao:

Ohh what is the name of the new winter flats? :goodvibes

Crocsband Winter Flat. Sorry I can post a pic since I'm on my phone, but they are under new arrivals on crocs website.

The other flats someone posted look really cute too. May need to look into those too. LOL

I think a lot of people think if the beach style when they think of crocs but they have really come a long way in the last few years.

Ooh, I think Birkenstocks are ugly! :lmao:

I wear my crocs all the time, we are a Croc family. They are so comfy, and they have some cute styles. Tho I have noticed the maryjanes don't have the same support as the originals.

I like Birkis too. :)

They are just hard to buy around here... I can buy Crocs off the rack in about 3 different stores.

I love mine and wear them from the day the snow is gone until the day it starts snowing again. They are ugly but that will be the day that I stop wearing something because someone else doesn't like it. Don't like them? Don't look. I'm sure that some of the stuff you ( general you ) wear is considered ugly by others. Will that stop you from wearing it? I would hope not.

Defensive much?

Dislike. They are beyond ugly to me.

However, I did get my dd a pair of the Mickey head ones when she was about 2 or 3 and they were cute on her. There is also a 1 year old little girl that I sometimes keep in the nursery at our church who has some and they are cute on her. I guess little toddler feet can pull the style off but I think they are ugly on pretty much anyone older than that. I would never tell someone they shouldn't wear them though. To each, his own.

I wear my red Mickey head Crocs almost exclusively at WDW. They are very comfortable for me. And I have problems with flare-ups of plantar facsititis

I don't care one whit if people think they're ugly! I think they're funny-looking too, but my feet feel the best when wearing them, so there ya go!

Love, love them.
I have a really hard time finding comfortable shoes....and these are them.
I don't care if they are ugly, if they make my feet happy, I will wear them.
My favorite are scutes.
I wear them all year, almost everywhere. Parks included.

UGLY??? yes

I have OVER a dozen different colors and I wear them all day everyday winter or summer. I work in a school lunchroom and I have flat feet. If I wear anything else by the end of the day I am in such pain I would be in tears. Ever since I started wearing them my back hardly ever hurts unless I am picking up a lot of heavy stock and my feet never hurt.

So do not look at my feet but I hope they are always around.

I like Birkis too. :)

I get most of my Birkis from QVC but have noticed other websites now have a good selection.

Living in the South I can wear my Birkis most of the time, wore sandals to see Harry Potter today, but about 2-3 months out of the year I wear Crocs around the house. I can wear them with socks to keep my feet warm and they are comfortable. I have worn them around town to do errands. Don't really care if anyone else likes them or not.

I'd rather see someone wearing Crocs than someone with their bra straps showing. ;)

not for me. I'm a big foot gal and I brought a white pair one year to wear at disney. I looked like the lead clown coming out of the clown car at the circus. You could see my big white crocs from the top of the contemporary when I was at the MK.
I don't care how comfortable they were, I threw those puppies out.

I think the beach ones are ugg-LEE! I have a pink pair that I wear to muck out the basement when it floods. I tried wearing them to walk in, but they ended up hurting my feet and knees way too much.

However, I did find a pair of awesome Crocs flip flops this summer, but they've been discontinued. Doesn't that figure?

Husband and I both have a pair of the Crocs Cove shoes and LOVE them!!!!! They don't look like typical crocs and most people have no idea they are crocs unless I tell them. My super picky brother even thought they were nice and said he wanted a pair. We both wore ours at Disney last year and besides normal tiredness I think they made a huge difference in our trip. I tried wearing my normal tennis shoes one night when we went out and my feet were aching in minutes so I stuck with the crocs. I really need to buy another pair because mine are worn out. I also wear them when I'm in the garage wood working and it keeps my feet from hurting on the concrete. Love them!!!!

Defensive much?

Not at all. I just think it's stupid to write something off just because you think it is ugly. I think they are ugly too, but I'm so glad I decided to try on a pair, just to see what the fuss was about.

I thought this was going to be an old thread that someone bumped up from 4 or 5 years ago. I don't wear Crocs; they're too wide even if I thought they were nice looking. But they've been around long enough and are so commonplace and practical that I just basically don't notice them anymore.

They just blend into the background of the culture. Kind of like Uggs. Or lime green for shirts. Or capri pants. Or tattoos. Or bulbous cars. I remember thinking how ugly Ford Taurus cars were in the mid '80s, but that basically started the era of aerodynamic, curvy vehicles that still exists today. Now almost every car looks like that, and I don't think about it or think they're ugly anymore. I used to nickname Ford trucks and SUVs in the mid-90's "Stubby". Now I don't even think about it, even though they still look like they should be named Stubby.

Maybe my eyes will eventually grow blind to skinny jeans :crazy2:. I'll never get accustomed to saggy pants, though. Or those gauge earrings :scared:.

I think they are beyond ugly!!!!! I have 1 pair that I received as a gift. I have worn them out shopping once and I wore them on a camping trip . Comfy? Yes! Too ugly to be seen in public? YES!!!!!!

I don't like them. I did try a pair on at the mall once to see what everyone was raving about and I wasn't impressed.

Plus, I could never wear shoes that can be cleaned in the dishwasher.
