No, you would have to hold them on the slides.

Do you have to take off watershoes and hold them also? Trying to figure out if it's worth buying watershoes... looking at cheap ones for basically the one time at a water park. We have Crocs clogs and/or flip flops... advice please

Yes, you have to remove footwear on the slides.

I never found the pavement problematically hot, btw. I've seen others post that, but it wasn't a problem for us last July at either park.

How much do you love walking around with sand-filled shoes?

I prefer to go barefoot. The pavement isn't particularly hot and I hate having sand in my shoes. If you're unsure, just throw some flip flops in your bag. Don't waste your money on water shoes.
