Crocs & Blisters?

Not me, never had a blister from Crocs. If you find they do rub somewhere try a little dry oil (like baby oil) and they won't blister the area.

I have gotten blisters with my crocs, while I wasn't wearing socks. My crocs are large enough. I think it's just because my foot is somewhat narrow, and my foot tends to slide around a little in the shoe. It makes for a very comfortable shoe, but sometimes I will get a blister on the bottom of my foot at the center of my heel, almost where my heel goes up onto the back of my foot. I still wear my crocs even after that though, but just put a bandaid on the blister and wear very short footie type socks for a couple of days. I've just decided that any kind of enclosed shoe is going to give me blisters if I walk in them enough. I can't wear flipflops for that much walking and at least with the Crocs, my legs don't hurt at the end of the day.

I'm always on the lookout for a better option and have spent a small fortune of other shoes just for WDW, but so far, my Crocs are still the most comfortable for me.

I'm so glad I found this thread! DD and I are planning our first trip right now and we made our shopping list last night. Crocs are on the list and I'm glad to see people like them for WDW.

Do your feet get dirty wearing crocs in the parks without socks?

Our feet had a lot of ashphalt on them when we went to our local zoo.
thanks!

My feet did! And the Blister block stuff I rubbed on to try to prevent blisters just made it worse! Every little speck of dust and dirt stuck to me.
To the OP, I didn't get actual blisters, but I did carry a pair of low cut socks to put on when I started to feel them coming. the blister block stuff helped some, but I got tired of the dirt.

I have worn Crocs, with and without socks, for several trips now and never had a blister. My 5 year old just wore them for the first time last month and he did end up with a blister after 2 days. It was on the inside of his foot, right below the ankle bone (where the heel strap pivots). He had to wear sneakers and socks the rest the week (apparently, he also had to whine about it the whole time;) ). He has worn them everyday since we got back home without a problem though, I think the all the walking at WDW was just too much.

I have several pairs of crocs. Make sure they are a little big on you. If they are the least bit tight, you will get a blister. And yes, your feet will get dirty, it's just like wearing sandles. But... seeing that the shoes are water proof, you can easily wash your feet and shoes.

DS7, DS9, and I wore ours for 3 straight days of commando touring last year. Not a rub, blister, nothing. This year at Universal, I felt a slight pressure from the strap, just moved the strap to the top of the shoe-no problems. You have to get them sized right, or they will NOT be comfortable. They are not supposed to touch any part of your foot-front, sides, or back-except for the bottom, of course. I have a small foot and skinny legs, so my big ole red Crocs look like gunboats on me...:rotfl:

I just bought new ones for DS's at Shoebuy for $21.00 each after 2 discounts applied,-Disney Crocs...what a deal, I wish they had more Disney colors for adults.

I have 2 pair one reg. and one the flip flop style, DS has his reg. pair and his mickey ones and DH has a pair........... none of us have ever gotten a blister!!

I will say though............ make sure you get the right size!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A word of CAUTION -- DO NOT get them to "fit" on your foot like a regular shoe - they are NOT suppose to be snug or fit right like a tennis shoe. They are suppose to be "big" on your foot. My Sis made that mistake when she bought hers, she tried on her size and thought they were too big........... so, she got a pair that "fit" her foot......... it was a mistake, she did get blisters. The next day she bought another pair that were her size and LOVED them!!! She said she didn't care if they looked like "boats" they felt awesome and didn't bother her blister!!!!

The fit advice is all true. That spot where the strap pivots should not rest against your foot. If it does, you will get a blister.

I am the blister queen! I have never found a way to prevent them no matter what I did....until I got Crocs!! Never got one blister on my last 9 days at WDW while wearing Crocs. The one day I wore my Tevas (best shoes for lots of walking pre-Crocs), I got one.

I did wear low-cut ankle socks with them for part of the time, who cares how it looks in DW, and I kept a little blister pad on the spot on my foot that always blisters (on the ball of my feet, just behind my toes...:confused3) but even doing all that and more, I usually have TONS of BAD blisters. Crocs are a total lifesaver for me.

Crocs + Sox = dork, and I don't care! Only kidding-If I wear mine with low cut socks they are great. I only have problems (I have weird feet anyway) with out socks. They were great at the water park though.
LOVE my Crocs...

can you tell me what discounts you used? I want to get my kids a pair.
thanks!

nope, but i did get a blister wearing crocs in vegas for the first time... i discovered that the beach style was a bit too wide for my foot and i did better in the caymans (or other way around?)...

I recieved the Mickey Crocs as a gift.... and they fit perfect, which means they are technicly too tight and will cause blisters :guilty:

True - I got a blister on both pinky toes, due to them being a smidge tight. They werent tight around town, but all the disney walking did it.

Absolutely true. My Crocs were comfortable everywhere and no blisters on the ball of my foot where I'm prone to get them. By the third day, however, I started getting a little blister where the strap pivots. Saw a tip about putting moleskin either on the back side of that pivot point, or on your foot itself. Will be giving that a try next time for sure. I know they're supposed to fit big, but the next size up was uncomfortably big, so I'll give the moleskin a try first.

Family of four, none of us have ever gotten a blister in our Crocs at WDW on multiple trips. I must admit I've tried several styles and the Beach seem to be the most comfortable for all day walking.

If it is really hot, spray some deodorant on the top and bottom of your feet. Works like a charm. I line everyone up as we're walking out the door and spray their feet down.

And yes, your feet will be dirty when you get back to the room.
