Crocs Anyone?

When talking about Crocs you also have to mention what "kind" of Croc you're wearing since there are so many kinds.

I do not have the original "Beach" Crocs. I do own a pair of Athens (the flip flop kind) and a pair of Mary Janes (two straps and more narrow than the Beach). The Athens are my favorite of the two simply because I like my toes to feel free. But the Mary Janes are quite comfortable as well.

The key to wearing Crocs is getting the right size. As stated on the Crocs website, the shoe should not touch the sides of your feet and you should have 1/4-1/2 inch of room in front of your toes. If they feel tight anywhere, ever, then you need to go a size up. They are not meant to fit like a regular shoe.

Hope that helps!!

Thank you! I have been debating as to whether the hype was really as great as it sounds or not. I'll order today for the entire family. Does anyone have the Nile? Are they as comfortable as the Cayman?

I got the Nile over the weekend and they seem more comfortable than my Cayman's (Which I absolutely love). They fit closer and seem lighter. We'll put them to test on our next trip.

I have 2 pairs of the Beach Crocs....and love them to death. In fact I have to hide the pair I'm not wearing so DH won't wear them. Both DD and DS got a pair for Christmas and immediately feel in love with them. They can't wait to wear them on our Feb 07 trip.

Just so you know as a point of reference.....I had Planter Facitiis and a heel spur. Very, very, very painful. I did not own my Crocs when I had these conditions. I had a planter faciatomy in October and have been living in my Crocs since......only shoes that do not hurt the incision area. No more pain since the surgery (spur still there, but not hitting ligiment now) but the incision area still gets a little sore from time to time (too much time on feet). The Crocs are the only shoes I can wear everyday and not have any foot issues.

I wore my Disney Crocs for eight days of running around at the world with no problems. I wore socks with them (always do, even when it is very hot) and also used Body Glide at the begining of each day just in case. I had packed my Nike Run Free sneakers, but never even bothered to wear them. By the end of running around and being on my feet for eight to ten hours a day, although my back and legs were tired, my feet could have walked another five miles. Best of all, for the first time, my heel spurs did not come back after a Disney trip.

Hi
I wore my Disney crocs from 12/10 to 12/15 with no problem. They are the most comfortable pair of shoes. I wore them with socks. They are the beach style with Mickey heads. Also, in August, I wore the Croc Scutes (they're a slide) without socks and they are the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn, even more comfortable then the Mickey crocs. Last year, I wore Nike sneakers and had so many blisters, that I was determined to find a shoe that would be comfortable. Also, if you buy a pair and they rub, just put them in the dryer for about a minute and pull up on the shoe. No more rubbing!!

Let me tell you. We went last February for 10 days. The first day I wore my new balance tennis shoes like I always do. By the end of the day my feet hurt so bad (like they always do) that I couldn't even walk down to the pool with dh. The next day I decided it couldn't be any worse with my crocs so I wore my crocs. I actually wore my crocs the rest of the time and guess what? No pain. I love crocs now! We are going again in 26 days and guess what I will be wearing. Yes the crocs. enjoy!

Any one have a good source for buying crocs at a bit of a discount? Seems that no one in Michigan ever offers them on sale!:cool1:

I don't think any one ever puts crocs on sale. However if you need to order more than 1 or 2 pairs you can go www.crocs.com and sometimes they won't charge you shipping. It isn't much of a deal but it is the best one I can think of. Oh I just had another thought. Do you live near a Second Chance store? Sometimes I have gotten my grandkids crocs there but it is a mad house.

Kimis-

I do not live near a second chance store but thanks for the tip on free shipping from crocs.com. I'll check that out.

You can usually find a $10 off discount code for Shoebuy.com. It makes a pair of Caymans around $22.
