Crockpot Mac and cheese?

Paula Dean recipe came out great. I used the whipping cream instead of the eggs though as someone recommended from the reviews

Growing up, my grandparents lived about 3 hours away. Whenever we visited them, my grandmother, or memere as we called her (French), would make Mac and Cheese on our arrival day. She only used American cheese and would add a can or two of squished up stewed tomatoes. YUM!
