CRO said Visa code did not matter

Called CRO tonight to see if they could apply the Visa code to our reservations. At first they said there was no Visa code, the only visa deal was 6 month no payment/interest financing on a vacation. I gave them the code number and they said they would try to apply it. According to them it made no change. We are staying 11/26-12/02, GF RPC MWY with dining. Is it because we are staying RPC or should I try to call back?

Were you getting a discount already? If you were, it might not have been any better.

Otherwise, you got a numb CM. It happens. When it does, politely end the call and try back.

It became a general code yesterday. No need to use the Visa. It didn't have a lot of availability.

There are most likely black out dates. The AP discount has black out dates about the same dates that you are looking at.

Wow, that is interesting. How do they choose blackout dates? I had heard that the week after Thanksgiving is slow, so you would think they would offer a code for that week if it is slow. Oh well, code or not I can't wait to go!!!!

I have to apologize. I'm wrong about my post & I don't post information unless I'm sure it's accurate. I went back to an email I received from Visa & the package is valid for your dates. It may be that it's just not valid at GF RPC. Here's the dates:

The new package is good for the following dates:

10/1-11/18
11/24-12/1
12/9-12/23

The example given was 5 nights value $355 per adult $176 per child & includes 6 day base tickets.

I see only availability for the garden and lagoon view rooms. I don't see anything for the concierge level rooms. That may be why you're not able to get the discount. They either didn't offer it on that type of room, or the discount for that type of room sold out.

Oh well. It would be great to save some money, but this is our second trip and our first stay at Christmas. We are really looking forward to the GF RPC. Besides, considering that we all got lanyards and pins last year, I am sure I know where the savings would have went this year.
