CRO confusion over DVC dining Ressies

Today was the day I could make my 180 plus 10 dining ADRs. So at 7:00 am I called WDW dining and after waiting 17 minutes got through. The girl made my 180 day reservation but then told me she could not make any ADR's for me farther out than 180 days and that I would need to go through Member Services to make the rest. She said her system would not recognize my DVC confirmation number. I tried to tell her that DVC no longer makes ADRs for members , we are transferred directly to WDW Dining. But she was firm. So I didn't get to make my Le Cellier ADR . By now it was time to go to work. I called the member services number later and of course was connected to WDW dining where the young man made my reservations with no problem using my DVC confirmation number. All's well that ends well , but I would have been livid if I had not got LeCellier because the cast member isn't up to speed on current policy.

Wow, I've never had that happen to me!!! Obviously she didn't know what she was talking about.

If you have time, call or email Disney Dining and tell them what happened. I'm betting that your first CM isn't the only one there who needs some more training.

Thanks -from those of us who need to call in the future! :)

I would definitely call back and try with another CM.

I was able to make ADRs for December this weekend. I was asked for my confirmation number since one ADR was beyond 180 days (but still within the +10 period). There was no question about making the reservation using our DVC confirmation number.

Call again! :)

After a gazillion and one calls to WDW Dining, when this happens I either politely end my call and call right back to get a different agent when I'm told something I know is not correct or I politely try to coax the cast member into checking something anyway. I once had one agent under the 180+10 policy tell me that it wasn't worth checking for a castle breakfast because they didn't release that many tables, etc and etc, to which I responded I know I know but since I'm on the line anyway...To his amazement, there it was for the day and time slot requested :)

I too find that hard to believe. I am going in September and did not have aproblem booking any of my ADRs', I was able to get in to Cinderella's Royal Table, Chef Mickey, Prime time, Le cellier and Liberty Tavern..I even had to reschedule CRT 3 times. You probably got someone that was not fully trained

180 plus 10 dining ADRs.

Help me understand the ADR and the 180 plus 10. We are going the last week of December first week of January (December 29- January 6). I need to figure this out to make ADRs.

Can I call 190 days out from December 29th and make all of my trips ADRs?

Thanks!:)

No. You can 180 days out from December 29th and make all of your trips ADRS at that time, i.e., call 180 days from your check-in day & then you can make ADRS for that day (12/29) and for the 10 following days.

When they changed the phone menu options in March , they added a prompt for Disney Dining. I assumed from that and what I have read on the boards that MS no longer handled dining ADR's . If they do indeed still handle them, I would like to know because that is they way I would prefer to do it. Anyone know if this is so?

I understand now. That makes sense now that you explained it. :thumbsup2

I made some last week after talking with a MS rep about a reservation, I wasn't transferred to Dining, both my transactions were handled by the same MS rep. Although she did sound a bit put-off to be doing it, but maybe that was because I made several DRs. :confused3
