I phoned CRO today and the CM I talked to was in Kansas City. The CM said they have people in Salt Lake City and Dallas. Last year I talked to a CM in Utah. Very pleasant and helpful CM. I don't know how many people realize that not all calls go to Orlando or I believe Tampa. Just some information for Saturday night DIS people.

I spoke to someone in the mid-west when trying to book last March. I was inquiring about the amenities at Fort Wilderness and what the cabins were like. All the CM could tell me was that the cabins weren't "primitive or anything" - :confused3 What does that mean???????

I wonder do they have a call center near Chicago????? LOL!!

Only because I got the weirdest conversation once that I think the CM was close by (I don't know are they supposed to TELL you they aren't in Florida? I'm not sure if that's a big deal or not).

She asked me what town and told me she was originally from the Chicagoland area, so we chit-chatted about it and I said something about the weather not being nice that day. She made a comment about her DH being in Chicago and told her he would be late home that day due to weather. It was raining and such but NOT enough to really make any difference to airline travel!! However, driving might be longer!

I hung up and went 'Hmmm....wonder if they have an overflow call center somewhere near here?'

I called CRO once and the CM said she actually worked for an airline & that they did reservations for Disney sometimes as well when things got busy. :confused3 She was very nice but didn't know the answer to a question I asked & that's when she told me that she actually worked for an airline. I can't remember which city she was in but it wasn't Orlando.

Disney does have a large call center in Kansas City. It is also where the people are when you order something from the Disney Store catalog.

Disney has Call Centers in Tampa, Orlando, Salt Lake City, Houston and Kansas City.

To my understanding, Disney is out-sourcing alot of their CRO's. No telling where the cm is stationed and how good their info is.

The person who booked our ressies originally was from New York I thought he said, although he didn't say if that's where he was at that time. He seemed to be able to answer my questions pretty well and was very friendly. The only question he didn't really know was "so what's the weather like in Florida now?". He said he wasn't sure but it was snowing where he was! :cold: IF they did have a call center somewhere in Chicago area and you'd get Disney benefits, I think that would be the only 2nd job I'd consider doing part time!

Some CRO CMs also work from their home. A co-workers SIL lives in Orlando and works from her home.
