We'll be over in CC for lunch one day. Is there a place that has lunch stuff over there?

I think the Hungry Bear Restaurant is there - kinda out of the way - but right over the water and very peaceful. They don't always open it - only during high attendance. Have fun!

It is SO peaceful there...we sometimes sit on the bottom level and the ducks come right up to the edge for scraps, they will take it right out of your hand.
It is shady, somewhat cool.
On the top level, I always embarrass the kids by waving (frantically) to the train as it goes by, and the canoes!

One time we sat on top, as far back as you can go, and we met the 'unofficial kittens' of DL! There was a CM there who explained about the 'wild' cats that make their home at DL and how they were taking these kittens to the vet for checkups/spaying etc....they were so cute!!!

We like the Hungry Bear Restaurant. It's very peaceful and a great break from the hot weather. They have a roast beef sandwich, fried chicken sandwich, cheeseburgers, bbq chicken salad, onion rings, french fries, garden salads, and kids meals. It's nice to sit on the bottom level because then you can watch all of the ducks and even the little baby ducks which are SO cute. :goodvibes

Make sure to stop for a sweet treat in the Winnie the Pooh candy store. :flower: You can watch them make candy, chocolate covered pretzel sticks, chocolate covered marshmellow sticks that are decorated to look like Tigger's tail, and carmel apples. YUM! :goodvibes

Thank you so much, it sounds great!! And BBQ Chicken Salad...yummy!!

This is one of my dd's favorite places to eat. She loves sitting by the river, and watching the ducks.

Hurray!!!! I was bummed to see there wasn't an Aunt Polly's at DL. It was our favorite place to eat at WDW. We ate there twice...it was so nice! And, one of our favorite memories happened there.

Two of the official gator wranglers came buy and asked if they could set their bag on our extra chair. Mind you, it wasn't crowded, so I think they were doing it for entertainment value. They pulled a 2' gator out of the water and stuffed it into the bag. They said they are regular cast members at WDW...they get enough stray gators on the property that they have their own crew of gator wranglers! It was very cool. Never expected to get up close and person with a wild alligator while on a Disney trip!

Of course, this one lacks the entertainment value of being on Tom Sawyer's Island, but it will still be a must-do for us!

I like the Hungry Bear too but it was closed during our recent visit (darn!). And, as previously posted...definitely pop into Pooh Corner for a special treat. The only problem is trying to decide what to get!!!
