Critter Country Closure

Hey Clara! I remember you from these boards. If I recall, we both went in Feb 2015. When we were there, SO MUCH was closed and the parks were crazy packed. Did you notice the crowds too? I am hoping Feb 2017 is not a repeat of history. :) How are ya?

Mouseplanet reports that ALL of Critter Country will be closed now until November 3rd.

Just thought people going over the next month might want to know.

I think it's pretty crappy of Disneyland to give NO advanced warning for this.

Agreed. I had no idea ALL of Critter Country would be closed upon our arrival on 10/3. I try to stay up to date with closures but this one, along with The Golden Horseshoe completely removing hot food and the Stagedoor Cafe closure really made things difficult for our group. I had a lot of eager Splash Mt fans who were sadly disappointed.

The Golden horse shoe threw me off too. We had planned to eat there one night...Imagine My surprise to hear that they were serving Ice cream only! I knew about the stagedoor being down for renovations but the golden horseshoe wasn't mentioned as not serving hot food too. having to sit down and pull out menus in the moment and make a change to our plans after they had their hearts set on specific food from Golden horseshoe was rough and it caused a meltdown. We had tears going well into our improvised dinner at Rancho Del Zocalo.

I was also very surprised about the golden horseshoe only having ice cream. ...that's Def not what I had ever though would happen. Def had to change our plans .
we were able to go on Winnie the pooh and eat at the hungry bear on Sunday as they opened critter country for a bit. It was nice and not crowded at all .
Had a little sad moment as a older gentleman castmember was talking about how weird it was with splash mountain not being open..and their doors only open for a few hours. ...was kinda sad.

ALSOOOO the crowds are unreal elsewhere in the park...man all the times I've been to disney it was never like this. .it's so hard to walk and look at things. Gah :(

Yeah, I thought is seemed pretty crowded in early February 2015. We were hoping to go February 2017 but now it's looking like we may not make it until June. I'm sure the crowds will make me quite sad but it is what it is, I guess.
