Critique, please?

I use Photoshop CS2 but I don't think I did anything you cant do in Elements. I lightened and desaturated the teeth - that was maybe a w/b issue you could correct easier if you shoot in raw. I also did a glam-blur action on it which softens the skin and defines the lines. Then I did the B&W conversion.

The one I called layered (for lack of any better term) I just put the B&W version layered over the Color version, and them made the B&W slightly opaque- I think like 20%- so the colors would show through a bit. And then erased the B&W layer more heavily around her eyes. I have done some shots of my girls with similar processing- I like it much better than most 'selective color' type shots I see.

Glad you liked it- I love the crop and the composition- and her expression as well. It really it is a great shot!
 
great idea bout the last one gdad, that's what i had in mind with the lighter colors...maybe i could hire you as my "b&w consultant"?:)
 
Ha- I love B&W but for whatever reason lately I have been adding a subtle tone from either the original colors or sepia. I think it's a phase :scratchin
