All of you were so helpful with my first trip to Disney, and I really feel that the responses I got on my threads were the reason things were so magical and seamless. My family had such a great time on a trip that was supposed to be a one time thing, that we just booked a trip for August (I know it will be hot, but as a teacher, that's the only time we can go!)

My family: Myself, DH, ds (3), dd (6), ds (9). We are staying at POR. We are not commando style tourers. We go at rope drop, do the parks until after lunch, head back to the resort for a break, and then go back to the parks after dinner.

Day one: Arrival. Relax at the resort. Chef Mickey's for dinner.

Day two: Magic Kingdom. Fast Pass for Enchanted Tales with Belle, BuzzLight Year. Tony's for dinner. Wishes.

Day three: Epcot. Fast Pass for Soarin. Test Track. Akershush for lunch. La Hacienda for dinner.

Day four: Hollywood Studios. Jedi Training Academy. Fast Pass for Toy Story Mania, TOT (for DH and nine year old only). Hollywood and Vine Fantasmic Dinner Package.

Day five: Animal Kingdom. Fast pass for Safari. Flame Tree for lunch. Dinner at resort.

Day six: Downtown Disney. Leave later that night.

It's not important for me to do and see everything. I would rather do a few "must dos", and be more relaxed than cram everything in and be stressed out.

Is there anything that would be a 'must do', based on my kids' ages?

(Last time we did Cinderella's Royal Table, and would like to try a different princess interaction).

FP for ETWB is a good choice. I would consider lunch at be our guest OR switch and do lunch at tonys and dinner at be our guest. If you haven't seen that restaurant yet it is beautiful. we did the wishes dessert party last time we went and thought that was great, next time I plan to do that and just let the kids have the desserts as their dinner.

akershus is a great choice! We ate there last time and really enjoyed it.

you probably already know this but want to make sure you are aware that Hollywood and vine does not have characters at dinner. I mention it because you have a 3 and 6 year old who probably like Disney junior and the current characters are jake, handy manny, princess sofia, and doc mcstuffins at breakfast and lunch there. since you are staying on property check to see if you will be at Hollywood studios during an evening EMH day, that is when the Disney junior dance party happens and jake and sofia should be at that as well. I will warn you though the last time we went to the dance party it was VERY LOUD, painfully so, and we didn't stay long. Other than being too loud the dance party was very fun and your kids may like that.

after four days of tickets adding a fifth wouldn't be very much, might want to consider a second day at mk instead of downtown Disney the last day. even if you only go for a couple hours it's usually worth it the last day cause that ticket is only around 10 bucks per person. I would keep that flexible so if you don't get to do everything you want the first day you can just stop at the front desk at the hotel and add a day.

if the 3 year old isn't tall enough for soarin don't forget to do baby swap so your older kids will get to ride again with the second adult.

Great tips! Thank you!

I didn't know that. We mainly booked for the Fantasmic aspect, but knowing the characters won't be there is helpful! Thank you!

We do have six days of tickets (package deal), so we will likely pop into a park on that last day (or first day!)

I would love to eat at Be our Guest, but wasn't able to get reservations. I am just realizing that I can possibly use Fast Pass Plus for a lunch visit...is that right?

Thanks for the input!

I really like switching MK for Downtown Disney! Ending on a high note can be especially memorable for the kids! Maybe Crystal Palace for breakfast or lunch to have the final character involvement.

Either way............I like you plan overall. Question: Are you going back to POR each afternoon? Given the kids ages......that would be what I would do.

BTW your gonna love FlameTree in AK........one tip....only order 1 order of the Onion Rings.........they're great but very filling!:)

BOG FP is not connected to FP+( right now).
So you can go to

https://beourguestlunch.disney.go.com

Sign in with your MDE account, and get a FP. When I was there in Dec. I could only request the FP a few weeks ahead. But it may have changed. I just tried it, and it brought up my Oct. dates, and said not available. I think that's because to far out to request.
