Critique our dining?

Looking for opinions on our dining. I wasn't able to get all the reservations I wanted but got most, some (O'hana and which meal for Chef Mickey) I am unsure about. We will be there in December.

Day one BOG QSR at 9:05 AM (MK opens at 9 am) then 7:45 dinner at Crystal Palace (we have consistently not been impressed with Crystal Palace but needed a filler, we are hopeful something we like better opens up)

Day 2 we currently have 9:10 AM breakfast at Chef Mickey's and 6:40 pm Dinner at Chef Mickey's, unsure of which to keep

Day 3 9:20 AM breakfast at Tusker House (AK opens at 9 am) then 9:20 dinner at '0hana

Day 4 3:05 "dinner" at Minnie's Seasonal Dinner at Hollywood and Vine

Day 5 7:20 dinner at 1900 Park Fare (one of our favorites consistently).

Any opinions? Something you would skip or switch out?

Day 1: I don't recommend a 9:05 BOG. You're wasting some of the best touring time of the day for an expensive, not very good breakfast.

Day 2: Depending on park plans, the 9:10 breakfast again wastes some of the best touring of the day, although breakfast is also the most edible of Chef Mickey's meals.

Day 3: You know what I'm about to say here about breakfast. The 9:20 Ohana is more likely to be seated after 9:45PM+.

Day 4 & 5: Those seem pretty sane.

What about a BOG dinner instead of Crystal Palace? Or was that one of the ones you could not get?

If I am hitting the parks early, I wouldn't want to waste time at any breakfast when I could enjoy a less crowded park... so I agree with Auroraborealis :) I would switch them all to an early lunch if it were me.... but maybe you are a breakfast person! :)

That Ohana dinner would be too late for me. I would keep trying for earlier and book a backup. Ohana has been a tough one to get I have read here.

Good luck with your decisions!

I would not waste any time on 9 AM breakfast anywhere unless you are not worried about losing park touring time. I have booked a few breakfast in Epcot around 9 AM but we are not touring the park those mornings. We are just there to eat. If I wanted attractions I would never have booked them.

On day two, you are going to lose a lot of travel time just going back and forth to CM. Figure you will not even get to the MK til 11 AM. By the time you start you will need to leave to go back to the CR. This day would nto work at all fo me.

The only other feedback I have is that you have a lot of buffet, AYCTE meals scheduled. I know my family would want more variety.

I agree. Either do breakfasts early before the parks open or late, so they're more of a brunch.

I agree as well. Your breakfasts are too late. I would try for earlier or later.
I also think the 'OHana dinner is late.
Good Luck

BOG and CRT are two dinners we really wanted and weren't able to get. Those are also the earliest breakfast we were able to get, I'll keep an eye out for earlier times. The buffet tends to work best for my family. Only my oldest and I are adventurous eaters, the other 4 kids and my husband are pretty much mac & cheese and chicken nugget guys.

Oh and we aren't doing CM for breakfast and dinner, we were trying to decide which to do.

There isn't much available for us. I can't believe I tried for reservations within a few hours of them opening up for us and everything was gone. I was able to get a 3 pm lunch reservation at Tusker on my day 3, I take it this is better than the 9:20 breakfast?

I'll have to keep an eye out over the next few months, hopefully there are more openings. I'm guessing our family size 7, may be limiting us as well.

I would skip chef mickey totally. It is not worth the money. Also if you are going to do an early breakfast I would try to do it before the park opens instead of so close to after it is already open. I would look at The Wave instead for something early.

I don't know what The Wave is?

We enjoyed chef mickey for breakfast last time but we weren't sure if dinner would be worth it or not.

Ok, just googled The Wave, yeah I don't think that is something our kids will be interested in. We have 5 kids 10, 8, 5, and 2 year old twins.
