critique my sw plan

Never been to Seaworld, we are going on Monday, Sept 28th park is open 9-6, we are two adults and can move fast, please tell me if this is realistic:

Open:
1. run to manta
2. krakken
3. Blue Horizens @ 10
4. 3 hour window to do journey to atlantis, jewel of seas aquariums, penguins, manatees, dolphin cove, stingrays and dolphin nurseries
5. Pets Ahoy 1:45
6. one hour 15 minutes for Shark encounter, and pacific point sea lions
7. Clyde show @ 3:45
8. Shamu @ 5
9. Shamu viewing area after show
10. park closes@ 6

I am most worried about how long will it take to ride manta and krakken, I assume we will have about 35 min before we need to head to blue horizens stadium.
Secondly, if clyde show ends @ 4:14 can we make a 5 shamu show?

Heres a second plan that looks better???? Again same situation w/ shamu show 4:45 min to get from clyde to shamu show doable?

4. Blue horizens @ 1:00

I would just comment ...do not forget to figure in travel times and if you want to be able to select show seating you will need to arrive earlier than 15 minutes prior to the show start time.

Different day than us I guess. Last week of June all the stadiums were full and we had to wait for second show on a couple. End of Sept. should be pretty slow time in the park, though.

To OP:
If manta is up and running right at 9 you might be able to run across the park to get to Kraken and run back to the other side of the park to do Blue Horizon.
Personally I think there will be no long lines for Kraken most of the day. Might be a little wait for Journey but not long any time of the day. I'm not sure you need to run to get them out of the way. If you do the 2 in an hour you will end up clear on the other side of the park so you will need about 10 minutes to get to BH walking at a fast pace. My guys went to Manta right at 9 when we went in June, but after standing in line for 30 minutes the ride was still down.

In the original plan I didn't see a plan to eat? That is usually the slowest line you see at SW in the off season.


One thing I don't see listed is the Dolphin underwater viewing area. Definitely one of my favorite places. Cool air and watch for the dolphins that make rings and play with them. Best time to go there is when feeding is not happening.

Basically everyone in the stadium will head to Shamu and you will have plenty of time.

Don't see Wild Arctic on your list???? I would try to fit that into my plan too. Try to do that during a Shamu show and the line will be short.

In the past my guys usually spent the last hour the park is open riding Kraken over and over. Usually most people exit right after Shamu show ends. Thinking that now with Manta this might be a good time to ride during the slow season, too.

I was surprised it was not more crowded - I was there the last Sunday in June. I did go to all the shows about 15 minutes early. I was not concerned about getting real good seats. The first I Believe show around 11:00 or 11:30 a.m. was almost full, but there were some open upper seats on both ends; the Clyde and Seymour show in mid-afternoon was almost full, but there was some open seats at the top; the Allure show was about 3/4 full, also in mid-afternoon. I went to Shamu Rocks last show on Friday night of that weekend, & it was close to full. Missed Sea Lion Tonight because our plane was about 1-1/2 late in arriving that Friday.

You should be fine. The time of the year your going is dead. Most of the shows dont even fill up and you should be fine with ride times not being long. You will have plenty of time to get to and from shows. 15 minutes inbetween shows should be fine. If I may suggest something though, I would reccomend doing the 11:30 Shamu show very first thing in the morning for this reason. Its Florida and you never know what is going to happen with the weather. It tends to rain in florida in the afternoon around this time of year, and if the weather is severe enough, you may encounter a situation where the 5:30 show is cancelled due to lightning. Unfortunatly this 2nd situation happens too. Ive been to shows where it has been cancelled because of animal problems. Sometimes the animals choose not to participate in the show and swim around the tank on their own. And being creatures of free will, there is nothing the trainers can do to force them to perform. Because it is a slow time of year, you only get 2 chances to see the show if you go to the 5:30 show and the animals choose to not participate, you will be out of luck. Thats why you should go to the 1st shamu show so you can have that extra chance if something happens. Just my opinion.

We were thee on a Thursday! It was just so hot that day! You would think that the Sunday would have been busier. Maybe everyone was at the beach....that's where we were that Sunday and Cocoa Beach was crowded. LOL

Out of all the parks I've ever been to I find SW the hardest for getting everything done because you have to work around show times. The only think I would say is make sure you get enough time to pet the sting rays and dolphins. Petting and feeding the rays was the highlight of our trip and we could have easily stood there for hours. Sea lions didn't take much time because you couldn't get close to them and if you thew them fish the birds would snatch it out of the air at least 50% of the time.
