I posted this on another board before I realized there was a board just for Seaworld ;)

We are heading to Orlando a day earlier than our disney trip so my husband can golf, so I though it would be nice to take my 4-year-old daughter to Seaworld.

We won't be able to go all day, but plan on getting there at 9am when it opens and staying until about 3pm. Of course it will be a Saturday, so I'm sure it will be crowded.

I know I want her to see the main Shamu show. I also heard that Franklin and Friends is there now (would love to hear more about that). She is only 40" so that will elimiate the big big rides... but smaller rides for the little ones are on our list.

Any ideas? Tips? Schedules I could follow?

Also, our hotel provides transportation to Seaworld. Should we use that or drive ourselves?

Last, here a touring plan I came up with - how does it look?

9am Dolphine Cove
Feed Dolphins
10am Blue Horizons

10:40 Jazzy Jellies
Swishy Fishies
Sea Carosel
eat
12:00 One Ocean
12:40 Ocean Commotion
Shark Encounter
Feed Stingray
2:15 Clyde and Seamore
Turtle Trek
Gift Shop
3:00 leave for hotel

Sounds good. I answered about Franklin and friends in your other post. Doing rides early is good. I have noticed that it is pretty much just walk on during that time. If that's the case you might just have to do all the rides in Shamu harbor before the show. Also turtle treck has like a FP system. You can always go by and see what ticket times they have. That way you won't have to wait a long time. Its only a ten minute wait when you get in. Good thing is each room has big glass windows where you can see fish and then the turtles too.

Depending on time you might want to just go straight to the Dolphin show before feeding the dolphins. That can take sometime and you might miss out on the show. Not sure if they have the dolphin feeding times posted on the website. They open dolphin feeding at certain times throughout the day.

As for the shuttle just check with your hotel to see what time they run. I remember when I was younger my grandparents took me and we rode the hotel shuttle. Since you are leaving early you should be good. Cause some hotel shuttles stop running early before the parks close.

When is your trip?

Thank you so much for all the info. I've never been so it's all new to me. That's great info about the fast pass ;). I didn't know that. I wish their site listed more info. Really looking forward to it!

We are going Feb 2nd. We could potentially go back for a couple hours Sunday if we don't get to everything on our list.

That is the last Saturday of Just for Kids. The Kratt brothers will be there live for a show. I haven't been to Just for Kids yet so not sure how it will affect the crowds. I don't think it will be too bad. Maybe just a few more extra lil ones around.

Since you mentioned that your daughter was 4...my 4 year old daughter (and lots of other preschoolers) was completely terrified of the movie in turtle trek ~~ maybe just see the aquariums and skip the movie

My 5 and 6 yr old loved the arctic exhibit ( beluga whale and walrus ) , feeding and watching the seals, the sky tower ride, and the shows allure and pets ahoy . You may want to add some of those to your plan

Does your daughter enjoy Sesame street? There is a new Sesame street show called "Elmo Rocks" You should definitely check that out if she enjoys sesame street. Elmo Rocks is located at the Seafire INN.

Dolphin feeding is a must but its based on the dolphins schedule not the parks so sometimes there a little wait or they stop it completely. Agree my 4 yr. and 3 yr.. didn't make the whole show (TurtleTrek) had to leave in the middle a little to intense for them. Stingray feeding is also pretty cool for the kids. Enjoy its one amazing park.
