I'm brand new to this so I'd appreciate advice on what I've come up with.

Sunday Dec 24 2017
Me, DH, DS8, DS3

1. Get to HS early for 8:00 EMH. Me and boys head to Jedi Training sign up (signing up DS8). Husband rides Rock n Roller Coaster
2. Toy Story (FP 9:30-10:20) (all of us)
3. Tower of Terror (me and DS8. Get RS for DH. Not sure if he should use it right after I'm done or later?)
4. Star Wars Launch Bay
5. March of the First Order (12:00)
6. BB-8
7. Indiana Jones (FP for the 1:15 show)
8. DH and DS8 head to Jedi Training (if we get 2:40 spot we hope for!). Me and DS3 do Muppet Vision and then head to watch Jedi Training.
9. Hollywood and Vine 3:45 (Fantasmic dinner package)
10. Me and DS3- Disney Jr Live (FP for 5:40 show). DH and DS8- Star Tours (FP 5:05-6:05)
11. Fantasmic 7:00 show (dining package)

Thoughts? How long should we expect to allow roughly for Launch Bay?? Also, what time should we be at Fantasmic for 7:00 show with dining package?

Thanks SO much!

On a normal day this sounds like a decent plan. That being said ,your going on christmas eve. The crowds will be at nightmare levels so don"t be disapointed if you hit a major snag.

Toy Story is tied for my favorite ride at WDW, so I like to ride it at least 2 -3 times. So after you sign up for Jedi training, go standby to Toy. Tho it is a small park, you are backtracking with Star Tours attractions. I don't see a lunch listed.

And don't be surprised if Studios hours change to earlier opening.

Have a great time.

I would try to get a FP for TOT. That line can get VERY long. Even though its Christmas Eve, I think you'll be able to get a 4th FP for the Dis Jr Live since its a pretty late show.

We are planning on going to Hollywood Studios on an "insane crowd" day when HS is a level 10 in February and I'm hoping to do nearly the same plan as you!

I would think about switching ToT and Toy Story, trying to do ToT at or before regular park opening since you have a FP for Toy Story.

You really don’t need a FP for Disney Jr. Book the 2 FPs for ToT instead and you and the older child use the FPs for ToT and get the Rider Swap Pass for your DH and older kid to ride on the Swap.

Okay, I cancelled the Disney Jr FP and got a ToT FP for 10:20. We'll also check wait times in the morning and see if we can fit in TOT without a FP (after RnR before TSM).
As for lunch- we will be having a quick breakfast at our hotel and we'll eat at H&V at 3:45, so we won't need a big lunch but we will need some snacks throughout the day. Any suggestions for quick snacks we can eat along the way?

It's so hard to know if the plan makes sense (at least to me never having been). Touring plan has wait times that seem too good to be true! I'm finding this to be true for all my touring plans I've made so far-- expecting to see huge wait times but Touring Plans says nothing insanely long at all. Guess we will wait and see!

This is my problem exactly. Everyone I talk to remembers their trip to WDW as an endless succession of endless lines. Yet TP keeps showing *poof* no lines. I'm hopeful but a little suspicious...

I agree! I'm just hoping to get to our priorities and then if we want to leave because it's too crowded so be it.

We were there last year on a day that was considered a level 8 for crowds and did not think it was bad at all. We didn't get there until 11am and did everything we wanted to in 5 hours including lunch, although RnR and ToT weren't on our list since our daughter had no desire. FP Toy Story and rode Star Tours standby, I think the wait was 20 minutes. So fingers crossed!

If you're big Star Wars fans, you can easily spend an hour or more in Launch Bay. There is a lot to see (if you like looking at movie memorabilia). Character meet and greets can be 10 minute waits or over an hour. Do you have a Disney Visa? If so, during certain hours you can do a meet and greet with Kylo Ren (different queue) and get free downloads of your photos with him. Sometimes there are jawas and storm troupers walking around, and there are some cool photo ops.

I have no idea how crowded it would be on christmas eve... if it's crowded you may find yourself moving faster through the space and not stopping to see as much.

Can your DS3 handle a long day like you plan? When granddaughter was that age, she took a nap in her stroller and was able to last until after dinner. It is a long day for an adult let alone two small children.

Yes. We will have a stroller so he can nap. Every other day of our trip, we have scheduled breaks back at the hotel but because of the timing of our H&V reservation, we thought we'd try for a long day just once. We'll leave as soon as Fantasmic is over and have a slow morning the next day.
Totally agree though-- it'll be a long day for him!

We don't have a Disney Visa unfortunately. Thanks for the advice though.
I think we'll try to stick to our plan knowing we may have to cut a few things out as we go if necessary.
Thanks!
