I am trying to get my FP+ selections in line for when my FP+ window open. I think I have my priorities for Epcot, MK and AK set. But HS I am not sure.
DS will be finally tall enough to ride star tours (barely), but we are also taking 9 1/2 month DD and two grandmas. So I want to take it easy in the july heat.
There are a couple of things I cannot decide on

here is my plan:

Go at rope drop-
-First thing: Buzz and Woody meet and greet or sign up for Jedi training? DS was really bummed he didn't get to meet them last year (we arrived as they closed the line for the day). He is also a Star wars fanatic, but he is a shy kid. I really don't know what the Jedi training is like.
-FP+ toy story mania and star tours for the morning (use child swap)
- See new star wars show, go to star launch bay
12 pm reservation for Hollywood and vine (fantasmic show).

We are taking an afternoon break, should I do Disney Junior show before we leave (1:30 pm) or when we come back (5:40 pm)? (DS is a big fan of both DocMcstuffins and Jake)
He also wants to do the Frozen show, and the last one is at 6:30, is it doable to do Disney Junior at 5:40 and Frozen at 6:30? Any advantage on FP+ one of them?

I am still not sure if we will do fantasmic again ( I may switch my ADR to just Hollywood and Vine).
DS is not particularly interested in doing it. But we will like to see the Star Wars fireworks.

Should I leave DD and one grandma at the resort in the evening? (we are staying at the swan)

thanks!

You only have 2 FP+ listed, so if you have a 3rd I would use it for Frozen. I'm not sure how long the Dis Jr show is, but that seems a little close so I would do it before leaving for the afternoon.

I would go straight to sign up for JTA. The line for Buzz and Woody wasn't bad last time we were there and it was a crowded day. My DD is shy too, but she ended up really enjoying JTA.

I have a 4.5 yr old a 2 yr old and my parents (over 65). I think my 4.5 yr old and I may head over to DHS before the others because I have heard that sometimes they let JTA sign ups in early. We plan to arrive around 8:15 I think (for a 9am rope drop). We will sign up first, then meet up with the rest of the crew. I have us meeting Buzz and Woody and then doing TSMM. But now Olaf is meeting, so if we decide to meet him, it would be JTA sign ups, Olaf, then B&W, and TSMM.

We are doing the 10:30 Disney Jr show with an 11am Hollywood and Vine Fantasmic Pkg reservation. Then a mid day break. I put Star Tours in for evening. I also plan to sign up for the latest Jedi Training time (which is projected to be 7:40). We want to see the light sabers light up, if possible.

We aren't doing the Frozen show. My boys aren't interested.

We plan on Fantasmic then the SW fireworks.

My mom will mostly keep the 2 yr old company when he can't ride as she doesn't like thrill rides.

where is Olaf meeting? DS will love that!

I think it's important to determine if your son will be doing Jedi Training Academy, because if he is, you will want to go there first thing to sign up for it. But you don't want to spend that valuable Rope Drop time standing in line for signup only to have him decide he doesn't want to do it after all.

Having 5 grandsons at different age levels, I have showed them You Tube videos of JTA over the years and questioned them about whether they would want to be up on stage with a bunch of people watching like that. For some, the answer was yes, and for some, the answer was no -- and it really helped facilitate DHS planning by knowing in advance whether JTA would be on that trip's agenda or not.
